Rising Sun Valley säsìlpey

An errant gust ruffled the adolescent's withers. He is not used to this cold, and he's not sure he enjoys it. Humid, ever-warm coasts call to him. A siren song that cannot lead him home, as he will not allow it. He isn't sure he has a place in the clan any longer.

Uktark's stare is steel. In those eyes is a resemblance of his bitter father. Even with the sour taste on his tongue, he juts his chin. Meets those eyes. Tries to match the resolution the man beside him claims so naturally, only to fall short. 

"What is sangilak?" Tsu inquired. Was it a rite? An adornment?

There is so much he does not know. So much that his culture has left him blind to. He yearns to know. 

Tsu'tseya inched closer to Toruk. The world doesn't feel so heavy, as he sits beside him, trying to mirror that silent strength.

"I want to be strong. But I no walk away. Not without Seäe." How could he abandon the only warmth he'd ever known?

Is that what it means to be a man? Suffering the grief and loss of leaving someone behind?
