For the first time in his life, Relonikiv's tiny features scrunched into a frown: his little brow furrowed and his lips pursed, the corners turning downward. He squirmed, loosing an unhappy grunt. Sprawled near his mother's belly and cushioned by his larger litter mates on either side, he couldn't move much. Instinctively, he curled into a tight ball.

That's when an explosion of noise erupted from the puppy's rear end. As the horrible scent filled the den, his smile returned to his lips and he emitted a happy sigh. He relaxed, though the low, continuous rumbling in his tummy implied that there would be more where that came from and that little Relonikiv would soon release more than only smellz.
