Her pups were nearly a week old, and though she was loath to leave them, her limbs were stiff from being wrapped around her pups. They were in a mishmash, her eldest and largest sprawled on top of her other son and her daughter. They were sleeping soundly and had just been fed, but that would only last for so long.

The priestess roamed the Web for a while, feeling the stiffness of her limbs slowly dissipating as she walked through her home. The mother stopped when she smelled a new wolf in her halls, another spider in Mephala's web, or a simple fly? She watched him for a while, noting the way he shook his head.
