Through ice I seek

The fae's eyes grow wide as a male lunges at her. She growls and leaps back, aiming a reflex blow at the males face. Teeth like a trap close around a foreleg, piercing the skin. Pain courses through her, and she leaps backward to avoid more injury.

Jade leaped backward, enraged. She gasped when she puts weight on the leg, pain making her take all weight of her leg. She stares at the male, still edging backward, on high alert. "What the hell? I wasn't even on your territory." she growls at him. The attack was unprovoked, she had done nothing! Her eyes narrow in anger, her gaze fixed upon the wolf.
