Shiv paused as she watched the pup try the crab, awkwardly scooping the meat out with a paw before placing it in his mouth and chewing on it thoughtfully. With a piece of her own portion still hanging from her beak, the bird studied him as he ate, intense in her gaze as if she were a chef awaiting a critic's appraisal of her dish. He indirectly answered her question, and Shiv tried to figure out if he liked or hated it.

Chortling in response to his questions, the magpie sucked down the last of her piece of the crab. "No rabbit," she said with a shake of her head. "Much too fast." It actually wasn't too often that she was able to taste seafood delicacies, since she rarely made the trek to the coast. However, she enjoyed it immensely — both the taste and the unique hunting challenges the creatures provided. "Berries, bugs, eggs," she listed, canting her head as she tried to think of everything she ate. It wasn't much, really. It made her wonder how similar her diet was to the wolves'.

"Also take meat from wolf kills!" she added proudly, despite the fact that she had just admitted that her kind stole food from their hunts. Not that they took too much, anyway.
