"Oh god, it's you," she breathed, relaxing her shoulders and stepping forward to nose the Beta's cheek. Her tail remained stiff and unmoving behind her, and there was still tension in her brow. "Do you know anything about Star? I feel.. completely out of the loop. I didn't even notice she was gone."
