Caiaphas took Larus, and Spyro grabbed ahold of Kevlyn. The process itself was quick, though its meaning would continue for the rest of their lives. They belonged to the sirens now, and forever would. Even if they somehow managed to escape or were taken away by some other means, the sea would always call to them. Beckon them closer. Spyridon himself had undergone the baptism at their age, and more than a day away from the crashing waves caused his stomach to churn and his worries to rise.

"Αυτό γίνεται." And so it was. If he had any notion of what it was, Spyro might have felt pride for the ritual, for bringing both Kevlyn and Larus closer to the sea. However, he'd been raised with no such thing, and served only the sirens and their wards. The two drenched pups sat on the sandy shore, sputtering and regaining their breaths as he and Caiaphas looked on. The spawn would need rest, and Spyro gave his queen a cursory glance to let her know he would look after them. Gently, he stepped forward and licked away some of the salt water on Kevlyn's brow.
