Jack glided gently over the new lands, his dark eyes focusing on and taking in each and every detail, studying every nook and cranny, fixating on every creature that inhabited the Wilds.
Wolves. They were very common. He kept seeing them far below, little figures, but unmistakable. And he noticed one very odd one after a while. Grey, but her head was as black as the dark woods. Her eyes seemed to be a sharp yellow. He glided gently to a stop, sitting a few feet away. "Hello, Wolf." He rumbled deeply to the canine. He knew she could and probably would try and hunt him, but he'd make it. He had before. Once he had left the hunter with something to remember him by- a blank eye socket. Jack believed he could easily outsmart the predator any day.
