Whitefish River The Great Thorn

Pump had never considered herself to be strange looking or very different from other wolves. Maybe because she had never seen her reflection and wouldn't recognize it either, if she ever saw it. Her birth pack had consisted of different kind of wolves, some bore the traits like her, some were more wolfish in the looks, but no one had ever suggested that she was of less wolf than others. Therefore the apparent curiosity, which sparked in the every newly met people's eyes, was a bit confusing and irritating.

It was clear that this tall wolf was not very different from others, Pump swallowed a low growl, that had been building up in her chest, and with her head held high she accepted the greeting and wagged her tail. It did not seem that the she-wolf would let her for a closer examination, therefore she stopped few feet away. "Do you have any idea of where Horizon ridge is?" she asked, leaving out the common courtesies - greetings and small talks.
