Atreyu really hadn't expected the water to be this warm. Of course, it was steaming and the moisture in the air curled the tips of his fur, yet he presumed it would be a little cooler. Even after Scarlett's apt explanation of how the pools came to be, the boy couldn't wrap his mind around it. The whole place was just so unnatural to him. Nevertheless, he was quite enjoying himself, letting his ears fall back slightly as he relaxed, letting the water rinse the sand and dirt from his pelt that only the heavens knew how long had been there.

Perhaps he would have to take one more often. With a quirk of his ear, he added after noting the girl's own fur (that wasn't soaked) was quite plush and pristine, "so this is how some wolves keep their fur so clean."
