crëyr swallowed slightly as they neared the lake. she stopped before the water. "i— i don't know. two days ago there was this guy, he, well..." she paused, not knowing what to say and really, if she was to continue. "i tried to get him to back off, but the bitch wouldn't budge. he thought i was one of those hit-and-go toys."

she paused, cringing inwardly, wondering if she had said too much. she didn't want to think about it, and had done a fair job getting the encounter off her mind the day before.
