He was in the middle of investigating a very interesting plant that grew on the side of the mountain when a call went up. He stiffened and listened carefully, trying to figure out who - what - was making that noise. His mind raced through the rumours that he had heard the Redhawk Caldera about things that wanted to be wolves attacking actual wolf packs.

This was the wrong time, the pack wasn't quite stable enough to deal with the loss of life. He would never say that they had wolves to spare but right now, with Raissa's bombshell that she may be in heat any day, it was downright terrifying.

With a start, FitzDutiful began to rush to the site, howling for any and all pack mates to join him. The more of them that were there and the bigger of a threat they would look to pose, the more chance that these... mutts, would leave them alone.
