Somehow, despite her indescretion against the lone dog on that previous day (however long ago it was - she couldn't tell), the collective had welcomed her. Perhaps it was the bond of the lost and desperate, the bond between all dogs, which allowed them to ignore the attack upon Dogmeat; that, or they did not know of it. It was entirely possible that these creatures were unaffiliated. Szechuan had no way of really knowing, and she would not - did not - question things when she came upon the rabble travelling together. She fell in line (far at the back mind you, silent and stressed from her wounds) and behind them, she marched.

But somehow, she drifted from them again. As the plains gave way to mountainous terrain, to strange sounds and smells (some thick and familiar, but not familiar at the same time), Szechuan became wary. Her route was uneven as it traced its way up the side - until she came to an abrupt halt, spotting a dark silhouette in time to see the dog toss back its head. The sound of the call hearkened to something deep within her. She chose not to hide herself now - seeking out the shepherd without a sound.

While she moved, something else did, and Szech froze. She thought briefly that the willow-thin figure was a deer; the sight of it made some remnant of her wild side awaken, her ears tilting forward and an expectant, hungry look crossed in to her good eye. But the creature moved more like a dog than a deer, slinking along curiously, and Szechuan re-evaluated. There was little time, though. A second call rose up and this time, Szechuan's urge to run (either towards danger or away) was ignited. It wasn't like the shepherd's call. It was deeper, stronger, more wild, just the kind of thing Szechuan was hunting.

She bayed a deep sound from her own muzzle, either as a taunt to that call or to alert the others that she was there, and ready. Then she resumed her march - heading for the shepherd in earnest, to accept his invitation to the raid. Whether they were successful or not, they were in for one hell of a fight - and even the burn of her torn cheek and ruined face could not dissuade her from this.
