Osprey had hoped that her display of dominance would make it clear to Saena that there was no point in continuing this absurd situation. She was wrong, because it ticked the girl off and with her teeth bared she lunged at her. The move was unexpected and the older wolf, who was more an expert in fleeing than fighting, didn't react nearly fast enough. She managed to turn her muzzle out of the way only to get hit on the side of her head and she almost lost her ground because of the momentum.

She staggered few steps backwards, feeling confounded for a moment, but then the instinct to defend herself finally kicked in - her eyes became black and the look in them feral. With a roar and she lunged with all force back at the girl, aiming for her scruff and with all intents to push her to the ground.
