"I big?" he repeated, sounding dubiously pleased. Then, almost as if to prove her point about being smart, Relonikiv pointed out, "But you thaid-a 'lidda boy'!" He shot her a suspicious look, though it quickly melted away into Relonikiv's usual, gentle smile.
