"She has been trying rather hard to prove herself of late. I admire her drive, but I think at times she might be a bit too exuberant in her attempts." He wondered if perhaps he should talk with her. She had seemed upset, leaving without a second glance, and he did not wish to cause her embarrassment. He would likely wait.

"You ok?" She didn't seem the violent type, and the former awkwardness had been forgotten for the moment in the excitement. The intoxicating scent was still present, setting him hyper-aware of her presence, but the conversation having a distinct direction helped to put him at ease.
