poor osprey :(. This thread was so hard to write for but I enjoyed it immensely!

He saw her study him, and her words made his stomach drop uncomfortably. Was he so easy to read? Of course he was. His ears flattened, splaying apologetically, but he was unable to think of anything to say to argue. He wasn't sure that he could have said them if he had words. To tell her it wasn't true would be a lie.

He did desire her, though, a completely surprising (and terrifying) sensation. It was the entire problem. So instead of compelling her to stay, he let her walk away, and his list of individuals to avoid grew by one for a while.

When it died down, he could pretend like this had never happened.
