Bazi rolled her eyes and grinned toothily at her clever foster son, who snuggled up close. Smartass. "A big little boy. Scimitar's big for a wolf, but he's not big like a bear, is he?" she chided. Did Relonikiv even know what a bear was? In an ideal world, he would never need to know - but that wasn't how the world worked, and Bazi had an arsenal crude images of potential dangers still to draw. "I can't even carry you any more. You'll have to ride on Scimitar." It had the added bonus of keeping the inquisitive little boy away from her hindquarters.
