What a travesty! She couldn’t believe she’d end up here out of all places. Lord knows, everything around the Wilds was somewhat shabby, probably the reason why this was such a hotspot for life. But the thriving beauty of the wilds only served to make her more upset, grinding her fangs to stifle a shriek of rage. It didn’t matter, all this place did was remind her of her failures. She hated that mountain! Her eyes shifting violently to gaze at the Sunspire as if she could knock it down or set it on fire by looks alone.
If we attempted to chip away Kipling’s train of thought, Sunspire really hadn’t done much harm to her. In fact she had left the mountain pack by choice, despite suffering a few (though not any severe) unpleasantries from the inhabitants. But she’d abandoned her home for greener pastures and what a food she’d been to do so. Her thoughts drifted to Rodrigo and the fur along her spine lifted. “Fuck you, mountain!” She barked with a surge of indignation, her maw wrinkling, “Fuck you, tree!” Now she was really going at it, “And fuck you, bird!” That crow took off faster than she could finish the sentence, which certainly was smart because she felt like sinking her teeth in something.
But her fangs merely snapped recklessly in the air, the area was very much barren. Only the lapping of water below the ridge met her ears, and she marched towards the edge to gaze down at the lake. At once the puffed up princess deflated, and choked back a sob grating her throat and swelling her chest. “Oh… what’s the point…?” She murmured. She wanted too much out of life really, and selfishly she considered that maybe she really wasn’t cut-out for all this struggle and hardship. Perhaps it would be easier just let go, and the thought swayed her to edge vicariously close to the end of the cliff blinking down at the lake.
