Kesik's fox instinct told him to run. And so he did, but not before the little fox grabbed a sliver of flesh no bigger than a squirrel and took off. He had had enough of those two wolves, and had the distinct impression that he would be eaten if he hung around to long. So as fast as he had come, the little fox was gone.
