He could hardly head Amekaze tagging behind him but he had faith that she was there; indeed that fact was made known when she shouted at his retreating figure.

He had no answer...for he had no destination. Ariston had been a wild thing once - and not too long ago to boot - and found pleasure in the random flight to nowhere. He was certain Amekaze was enjoying the pursuit or at least the feigned sensation of hunting down some obscure quarry. When he felt the winterize foliage thin beneath his thudding prints he slowed enough so that her longer gait had her caught up to him within mere seconds...his canted cheek allowing him to regard her with an exaggerated expression of surprise.

"Pretty Girl is so fast!" he gawked before barking uproariously as her and sending a playful nip at her shoulder to invite her to lead the (senseless) chase.
