Amekaze was definitely as quick as she looked. He metaphorically ate her dust as she wicked away her physical drag and became a black torpedo skimming across the earth. The strength of his legs permitted him to keep an admirable pace behind her...but it was clear that even with maximum effort he'd never be able to overwhelm her in this particular race. Still he had a wonderful time trying, his eyes focused only on her figure ahead, and as his paws gave thunderous applause against the soil he gave himself away to the delightful absence of thought or ponderings. There in that moment there was only Amekaze, the running, and the thrill of the unknown.
