Horizon Ridge I Don't Want This Moment to Ever End

Aesop loved the Greek language, and he loved it well. It was the language of his youth, of his love. It was long nights beneath the velvet sky, spent in silence but for the breathless, "αγάπη μου" traded in blissful adoration. It was the language of a time long passed, but to this day it struck a chord of sheer longing so overpowering that he knew he was slipping. Until he caught himself, and his face returned to a stony mask.

The stranger, Alastor, offered to teach him again. He smiled, wan, but nodded. He gained strength before he spoke, "sure, why not. Teach an old dog some new tricks." He issued it as a challenge, but a friendly one. "Alastor? A pleasure," oh, so there was his old charm. Far less clumsy than when he had attempted to win Burke over. He wondered if he was attracted to Alastor, or if this was just misplaced affection tinged with an overdose of nostalgia. "I'm Aesop."
