After the whole ordeal with her forgetting to eat Kove had made sure she was eating properly again. It wasn't like the female didn't want to eat, she sometimes forgot while taking care of anyone else instead of herself. Taking the big elk back to BCV had cost a lot of effort. Scarlet was glad she had Kove with her otherwise she probably wouldn't have managed to get the carcass to their valley. There was only one entrance into the valley, a descending path filled with rocks, borders and conifers. This way, it was also quite easy for them to mark their territory. The steep walls of the valley kept other wolves out, they weren't built like mountain goats after all. The Boulder Path, as they called it, was heavily scented. A warning to other wolves they were entering the buffer zone of their territory, once they made the descend down into the open field they would be seen as trespassers. The path was long enough of a warning.

Scarlett realized that being an alpha was quite a lot of work, but she did like it. Especially because she could spend all the time she wanted with Kove. Her head was resting on Kove's back after another meal. Naps while having your tummy full with food were one of the best naps. Her nose buried in his fur. The female was in love with the fact that their scents were mixing into a new scent. She scented of Kove and he scented of her. Scarlett wasn't overly dominant but somehow it really satisfied her that her boyfriend scented of her. Her eyes blinked open as a howl echoed through the valley. The boulder path with its steep walls almost functioned as a horn, amplifying the howling sound into their valley. "Someone knocking on our door! How exciting!," Scarlett instantly bubbled and sat up. Before she stood on all fours she had a good yawn and a stretch.

"Let's go together," Scarlett barked softly to her partner. Scarlett howled back in response to let the stranger know they were coming to meet face to face. It wouldn't be polite to let someone waiting. They still had to travel up the boulder path to meet this individual. Scarlett started a trot towards the direction of stranger. It didn't take too long for her to arrive and face the one with the silver and obsidian based coat. "You called? I'm Scarlett." Scarlett let Kove do his own introduction, he was a grown man after all. "We are the alpha pair of Bearclaw Valley," she introduced, feeling surprisingly powerful.
