Ashton, sorry for the delay! Busy week :) Set in Firefly Glen
Slowly, he left the drained shores of the lake and made his way north, following the devastating wake of the tornado. The wound on his head had stopped bleeding, but once more the fur surrounding it was matted with blood that had seeped out after the grooming the fox had so graciously provided. He was immensely sore, and still heavily favored his right foreleg as he limped along. Despite the pain, he was determined to make his way.
Initially, the path of destruction seemed to head straight for the plateau that hosted two of his closest companions. The further he walked, the more sick he felt. His stomach twisted into a knot and the cadence of his heart beat increased as seeds of panic were sowed there. But all of this subsided into general unease as he approached the Heartwood, where the funnel's trajectory veered east.
He followed it for a while, before weariness overtook his body and he lay down where he stood, sheltering in the shadow of a small bush. He did not believe the plateau took the brunt of the storm, but still he worried for his companions. They may not have even been home when it struck. Like him, they may have been in its path. He swallowed thickly as he thought on this, his thoughts drifting even further north to the Saena and the rise.
Did the storm reach there?

«No prob at all! And btw, I meant Lawl, but autocorrect told you Lake. Haha»
Again he thanked the sweet bi colored babe that checked him to the right direction, and after nearly taking a breather, he shoved his nose to the ground, and started sniffin. He was damn sure gonna find his way home, or.....
...
......
Sniff.
...
Sickness.
Damnit, here we go.
The golden doctor followed the path of pain his nose nosied on out, and lightly nicked it on a Bush stick.
"Hey, what's the big idea, bramble? You wanna go? I've been through Hell, Heaven, and a Pit Stop, and ya got nerve ta..."
There's a wolf not 2 feet from him...
And you decide to pitch paw at a Bush?
...Don't judge me, dude.
Too late.
"Ya lookin comfy, bro. Got a snab for a nother' nab?"
A friendly greeting to the pale lupine under him, and it was only a temporary one, before he realized this wolf was the smell he had tracked of sickness.
Ah hell on a hampster paw.
"Dude, you chill?"

I did wonder at that haha
He was beginning to doze off when he roused by someone talking to him. He lifted his head, eyes wide with surprise not only because he had been so drowsy as to completely miss the golden male's approach, but because he did not comprehend what he was hearing. "Uh..." he uttered, staring blankly. "No, I'm not cold..." he knitted his brows, he did not think that was what he was being asked but in his stupor he could not figure out what he was being asked. "What?"
Getting him to talk was a good sign. Meant he wasn't out cold. Good. One tally down, more to go.
"Sorry, bromigo. Didn't dab on confuzzlin ya. I was hoping you were alright. Ya got a dipper on ya cap, and I was trying to make a good one on ya. "
The blond hippie knew his lingo was lost on most native folk that foured it, but he only kept it as civil as he knew how.
"You alright, man?"
Ash wondered if he had been lost on the ivory again.
Try intro?
Yea, good call.
"Names Ashton, or just Ash, if ya like. I'm a Doctor. The Doctor of the Dera...well, the Dera I'm tryin ta trot back to. I noticed you were a bit doked so I came to poke. Worried on you. Here to help, any way I can. "

If he had been more himself and not encumbered with pain and weariness, Luke would have been wholly amused by this lad's unique manner of speaking, and he would have gladly bantered back and forth with him just to hear him talk. Unfortunately, he was not well and not in the spirits he was so known for. He was not bothered by the other's presence, but he could not engage in the way he typically did.
"Well," he said. "I've had better days but I think I'll be fine." The golden male introduced himself, and Luke was able to pick out that he was a healer and was offering assistance. "I'm just trying to get to the plateau," he replied. "I don't know... the wound on my head, is it bad?" He tilted his head toward the doctor of the 'dera'. He could not see it himself, but it was split open, a gash about three inches long. It would heal in time, but it was susceptible to infection, especially since it was inaccessible to Luke's own blue tongue. Keeping it clean would be difficult.

Ashton knew where the plateau was, because he had passed it on his way running from the storm with Echo.
It was such a rad thing to make buds.
When the ivory showed the blond plaited teen his wound, Ash flicked unconsciously into his more focused doctory self.
Emeralds flicked at the cut, then proceeded to analyze it, then moving into various parts of the snow shaded wolf's visible body.
"Any dizziness? Stomach ailment? Unusual bleeding from eyes, nose, or ears?"
Dizziness was a sign of trauma to the head. Force could have been a factor at the application of the cut, damage reaching the man's brain. Stomach would have shown signs of a virus that had been released into the cut, and the body attempting to purge it in any means it could. Random bleeding from the open body weak spots could be internal damage that may have come after the impact of wound, a major artery being severed and draining from the unusual places.

The golden man entered medic mode, and proceeded to ask Luke some questions about his injury. "Dizziness at first, but not so much now," he answered. "No stomach problems, or bleeding." Besides the fact that he was tender across most of his body and he had a gash in his head, he believed himself to be mostly fine. He was not alarmed by the dizziness, assuming it just a product of the chaos of the storm and whack on the head the spruce had bestowed upon him. But he was no healer, and Luke looked expectantly to the other wolf, deferring to his expertise which the blue-nosed wolf openly trusted.

The blond hippie leaned in, sniffing the wound, keeping his whiskers clear of it.
Nope, no infection.
Good, so far. Either it was freshly made, or someone else got to it for the pale dude.
"So far dude, all you need is a good mash of Milks for the cleaning, and some bark for the bleeding. It would help if I could find some sort of fruit for you too, but that would be pressing luck. "
Milkweed had a bubbly property like that of dandelion leaves that formed bubbles once the green flesh was ruptured, cleaning the wound of the plant. Like a peroxide.
Bark would just serve as a cotton ball. Not as soft, but close enough.

He did not know what milks were, but he understood bark, and bobbed his head. Either way, he trusted the other wolf to be telling the truth and to know how to treat his wound. He felt inclined to share how he had acquired his injury then. "I got caught beneath a falling tree during the storm," he recalled. He had been fortunate in his life that he had sustained very few injuries until now. "One of the branches gave me a good smack, heh," he chuffed. He glanced around then. "Is there... milks... around here? Does it matter what kind of bark?"

"You're a master tree catcher, man. I envy you. I got into a fight with a tree, once. Right infront of this cutie in my pack. I nearly lost, bro. "
A chuckle left him as he stepped back, prepping to go grab the ingredients. Oh boy, were there plenty of them.
"That storm helped the dying plants grow pretty good, despite how many of em that nado ate up. Mother Nature is kind even when she's cruel. As for types, pine would help, but there aren't any in this area. Milks will do just fine. I can use just plain old bark pretty fine. I'll be right back, dude."
The golden doctor swiftly turned, and sped off, snagging budding milkweed in the process. After placing the unmarred stalks down at the base of the tree, the hippie began first clawing, then moving down to biting the tree when he got to softer and more pliable wood.
Ripping strips off, the doctor placed them with the pile, and streaked back to the hurting ivory.

Luke bobbed his head in agreement. No matter how harsh nature was, it still provided for those that lived in it, for those with the courage to survive and move on. Before he could comment further, the golden wolf sped off in search of the necessary ingredients. Luke had intended to help, but he was slow moving and did not know what he was looking for, so it was just as well he stayed where he was. While he waited, he laid his head across his paws and rested. He did not know for how long, before he saw the man returning, carrying with him some bark and what he presumed were milks.
"That was quick," he grinned.
"That was quick," he grinned.

«I apologize for all of the wait, Kris. New job has been working me, lately. We can end soon, if you lost muse.»
He was mildly complimented on his efficiency, and the teen beamed as bright as his hide.
"That's the only way I snip it, pippet," he barked with a wink to the cloud cloaked bromigo.
Hell, it was true. Ash, as many more knew, loved keeping up on his cardio.
Also as true to his word he got straight to work.
"Mhmnk, pancake. Gonna need nothing but well timed breathing on both your end, and mine. Don't wanna waste anything in your eye, because a foaming eye wouldn't look smashin on your end. "
With that, Ash snapped up some milkweed and gingerly but precisely sqwaz..sqished..squeezed, right. That word. He squeezed the clear juice on the pink tinged wound atop his friends scalp, and sat back to watch the cleaning magic for a second. Then he hasn't down and started pulping the bark, shredding it. With the soft scrub, he picked the wad up in his incisisors and wiped the now dead bacteria and remaining foam away.
Almost comically, the blond doctor spit the bark scrub out from the side of his maw, and he began wagging his banner.
"There ya go, bro. Try not to have any mud bathes any time soon, unless you keep your head above it. Other than that, you're as good as a new play-stick."

Luke was quiet as the golden male tended him, focusing on his breathing as he was bid and insuring he made no errant movements that would interfere with the work of the healer. He winced as the juice tingled atop his head and as Ashton wiped the bark across his head, more from concern that something might hurt rather than how much it actually discomforted him. But as quick as he had obtained his materials the man had finished, and Luke breathed a relieved sigh. His wound did in fact feel better, somehow.
"Thank you," he smiled appreciably. "I love the water, but I'll try to stay out of it for a while, he chuckled. "If I can ever help you somehow, don't hesitate to ask." The white wolf's tail swept the ground behind him in wide arcs, before rising to his paws. "I must be going. Thank you again." He dipped his head and turned to leave, resuming his mission.
