@Scimitar, Just figured this out. Easier then sending a message :P.
Ashen paws found themselves in new lands, very fertile lands. With the amount of greenery here, it was clear that this place ought to be teaming with prey of all sizes. That noses wrinkled slightly, it made her want to chase something for the thrill of it but alas that would have to wait. Just as she found her self before the boarders of a pack lands, the scent was fairly new, perhaps they had been forced to move or some other issue arose. Whatever the case it was high time the loner found a place to settle, it was hard to say if it would be for good or if only for a short amount of time. All that Morgäna could do was wait and see, give it time and then choose whenever the need arose to make a choice to stay or go.
Lifting that head to the sky, that son was sang, a summing howl for any of the pack wolves within this pack. It had been a full year since the lady had heard her own song, it was strange and almost alien yet in a familiar way. With that done, the dark lady stood before the boarder simply waiting and listening, that gaze drifted as a few birds flew by and yet the scent of something larger caught her attention, at least for a moment. Within a few minutes that gaze shifted back towards the territory to see if any had heeded her call.

There was a pause as the cinnamon male lifted his head to the call -- perhaps, had he and his mate been on speaking terms, he would have rejoiced with her to know that this was the first caller they had had -- the scent borders were established, and the pack would thrive, for now, in Jade Fern Grove. Bazi had seem to come around to it -- Swift, not so much.
The dark agouti man made his way to the call, his pace quick despite his looming size. The she-wolf came to view within minutes -- greyscale in hue, she seemed to be healthy... at least, physically so.
He uttered a low bark to gather her attention, though it would seem she was expecting someone in decent time to greet her. His stance was dominant, and his gaze sharp as he studied her, slowing to a halt a few feet before her. "State your name and business at our borders," he requested, deciding to get straight to the point. Pleasantries had never been his thing.

Alas Morgäna stood there quite and waiting, those ears flicked forward at the sound of snapping twigs and rustling brush. Someone or something was coming, but the women stood her ground remaining in a rater neutral stance. Those eyes found themselves upon a male, someone who was quick to answer her call in a respectable amount of time.
His bark was unneeded for this more less then stealthy approach had alerted her before he had gotten close, that gaze was upon him and he was quick to take on a dominate stance. An alpha perhaps or a beta even, the women didn't answer right away as she gave him a quick look over. "Morgäna and I've come to pledge my self to your pack." Straight to the point, although she reframed from giving her last name then again it was unlikely needed here.
September 07, 2015, 12:26 PM
She held herself in a neutral stance, though it was far from what the wolf deemed an appropriate stance to one who claimed they desired to join a pack. Their border marking was seemingly paying off now, and casting a once over the dark woman before her, he did not waste time placing his next question, not satisfied with her current answer. "You know nothing of this pack or the wolves in it -- why are you so quick to pledge yourself to the unknown?"
It seemed strange to him, but became rather clear that loyalty might not be a moral of the she-wolf. It was hard to proclaim loyalty to those you did not know -- but she did not even try to pretend to offer it. Living in the here and now -- her pledge might be only as good as lasting a few days.. enough to help herself to their caches and then disperse to her next journey.

Ahh, well the dark lady to say had issues with authority. Submissive was no her forte but she never the less did her best to offer her respect to the male before her, it was simply difficult. However Morgäna knew the importance of such things and acted as needed, if only then. Here and now; she didn't see a reason to do so. Then again she didn't know what rank this male held, for all she knew he could be a subordinate trying to pull a fast one over her. As for his next question an ear merely flicked. "One must start some where." It was better here then being alone, the colder months were closing in and she for one did not fancy a winter alone.
As for her morals, it indeed was hard to say where they may lie. Then again she was a chaotic mess within; it was hard to give her loyalty or trust to any one wolf without them earning it; in her book such was earned not given. Any air headed fool could give their loyalty or trust to a wolf and easily be paying the price for it later on, here and now she with held it. Time would tell if this male was worth putting her trust and loyalty into, until then the dark women would do what she must. Protect the pack and those within, patrol the boarders and deal with those who seek to do harm.

Her answer was yet again efficient, but lacking in detail. He could understand this -- as a wolf with little desire for hours of conversation he could almost appreciate the straight forwardness that was being presented. "And what talents or skill do you offer the pack?"
His questions were needed -- but no amount of talent would get her passed his borders without a form of submission. If she did not understand the basic instincts of the wolf hierarchy and could not bend to such, then she was useless to him and his family. A loose cannon that would be best left away from their children. He had his share of disrespectful wolves within his ranks.. they never lasted long before they had been ousted

The male was unrelenting, perhaps it was time to play that submissive role, although she did not agree with it, in spirit or in mind it had to be done. But for the moment such would wait as he asked her another question. "I can offer my skills in protecting the pack, acting as a warrior or providing medical assistance." Her traits varied and she was not afraid to voice them, save perhaps her other traits in spying and assassination. He had yet to earn her trust for such an utterance, at a later time these skills would play a part. But for now, he would be wholly unaware of her more well trained traits.
Alas that gaze broke off from his, while that tail tucked half way between those hind legs. Those ears drew back, but Morgäna would do no more in a form of submission towards the male. It was enough or so she hopped, for she wasn't quite ready to offer her throat and soft underside to the strange male of whom she yet knew the name of. He had neglected to offer such while she had given her own. Strange, that she hadn't lied about it and had been truthful. Maybe it was something about the male that caused it.

Her skills matched well with what their pack required. After Paarthurnax's departure, they had not seen a wolf with knowledge in herbs and medicine since. "Good," he affirmed, his eyes noting the small display of submission. It was enough to appease the large beast, and his tail gave an idle flick as his muscles relaxed. "We require each of our members to work toward the warden or warrior trade, if not both," he noted then, believing this to perhaps be the most important information for a newcomer to their home.
"Somehow, we tend to draw in the dramatics and attentions of other packs. It is better to know how to protect ones self." With a flick of his gaze over her form, he would need to seek her out at a later time for a spar -- her, and their other newest member, Ayana. "I am Scimitar, your Alpha Male. Bazi, my.. mate, is your Alpha Female." He had hesitated on the word -- the first floundering of his stoical mask, but he made no notion outwardly of it. He had Bazi needed to talk.

Morgäna flicked an ear towards him as he spoke as did that gaze find his own a gain, at least for a few moments before shifting away. That mind went over what she may need, if she couldn't find it in these lands themselves. "I may very well do both, for one may well be skilled in many aspects then just one." Simply she spoke from experience and that of what her birth pack had taught her time and again, from fighting to healing and other more secretive task.
That gaze shifted to hm as he spoke again, a brow rose in question. "Did something transpire before my arrival?" An innocent enough of a question; it was good to know just whom maybe their enemies now rather then later. But she did note the want for a spar, likely at a later date. Saving such for later the dame listened and noted the hesitation in his voice. Something was clearly going on and yet she wondered. "Your hesitate makes me believe something unfavorable has transpired between you two." It was perhaps a bold statement, but it was true. Yet she could not help but wonder if it was something that may tare the pack apart due to these personal issues, or at least she assumed there was more then just a singular issue between them.

"We hold tensions with a pack called Blackfeather Woods, further south of here," was all he offered. He would not go in to the details unless she felt the desire to ask. For now, it was best left unspoken.
Her forward question drew his attention quite abruptly -- but if she thought he was going to share with her his personal life regarding his mate and family, she was terribly wrong. "You'd be wrong," he corrected her, his tone growing colder. As if to make it clear that the conversation was over in regards to his mate, the male stalked forward, maneuvering to brush his shoulder against hers to solidify his scent upon her -- she was accepted as a member to the pack.. for now, at least.

Morgäna hummed a bit in thought at such, but she spoke of nothing more of it. She'd learn more as time grew on or perhaps she'd bump into one of these wolves unintentionally and find out more that way. Whatever the case, she knew now was perhaps not the best time to ask questions.
Those frosted eyes merely blinked at his cold reply, but she said nothing more as he brushed up against her, knowing all to well what it meant. An ear flicked in thought but she left it at that. A glance was thrown his way briefly before she stepped back and looked around a bit. "Does the pack have any stock of herbs on hand?" If not, she'd leave to gather some and maybe she'd just learn more of what was going on as she did so.

She seemed to understand what his contact had meant -- and stepping back, she cast him a question. The regal offered a brief shake of his ivory-tipped muzzle, his gaze leaving her to the direction their old homelands had been. "No. We haven't had a healer amongst our ranks in months now, and have only just begun to settle here," he offered, determining that if she were to be one of them, the backstory of their history could prove to be useful to her. "We had to flee our home weeks ago because a tornado passed through -- we lived upon a mountain and lightning struck the forest."
Needless to say, the Northwoods had burned.. and the family had not yet looked back. "If you wish to store them in a den, I would suggest getting either @Ayana or @Tryphon to help you dig one. They could use something to keep them busy." Cold words, perhaps -- but both wolves were still walking on eggshells with the man.

Morgäna was rusty at best, then again without having a pack around or another wolf for a year it was clear some social skills were lacking in that respect. It would take sometime for them to improve but for now she would worry over that later. Her gaze found him again as he spoke, listening as he did so. So some type of tragedy had occurred, some bad weather and they were forced out of their home. It was all she needed to know and nodded a bit.
However she took note to store those names within her memory, so it would seem she wasn't the only new comber here. "I shall keep them in mind." Though she was sure digging a den out for the herbs alone would be easy enough, but she supposed they could help or tag along. But with that she knew this meeting was drawing to an end. "Is anything needed to be done, before I go searching for herbs?" Though maybe digging a den first would be ideal..but no, if they needed the herbs now she'd gather them and then dig the den to store them.

At her question, the regal gave a shake of his muzzle, his gaze softening. Perhaps he had misjudged her earlier -- she seemed content to begin proving herself to the pack instantly.. something that was not lost upon the Frostfur. "No -- help yourself to one of the caches if you're hungry," he rumbled, taking a few paces away from her now and to the direction of the borders. He would need to continue to mark them.
"There will be a pack gathering soon," he told her then, so she could prepare for it and be sure she attended. Soon, Jade Fern Grove would be claimed officially -- and the pack would gather and howl their intentions to the world. He remained apprehensive, now being in Rising Sun Valley once more, but thus far, their past had not come back to haunt them just yet.
With that, the dark agouti wolf swept off to continue to mark the borders, his thoughts distant.

A nod was given from the ashen female as her gaze drifted to the distance, she didn't leave quite yet knowing all too well he likely had something to say. "I shall, once my work is finished." She stated quite simply, knowing she would sleep well once a den was dug, herbs were gathered and stored. It would take some time, but she would go searching for them never the less.
Upon hearing that there was going to be a gathering, she tossed him a glance over her right shoulder. "I'll be there." There was little need to say anything else, as the women moved on leaving the new pack lands behind in the search of some herbs for the day.
