All Welcome
@Reek and/or @Tavi

The startled SQUAW of an ambushed grouse cut the calm winter afternoon as its frantic wing-beats quickly ceased, cinched by Valtyr's enamel pincers. He stood over the bird as a sense of relief flooded him. For a while, there had only been one or two leads on which to hunt by, and the youth had become worried no prey would be upturned. Luck was with him that day, though, and he turned back to the alpha and his subordinate, trophy in tow.

Timeline Clarification: Thread takes place directly after http://wolf-rpg.com/showthread.php?tid=12316. This thread is backdated to the day before Scarlett's death, the aforemented thread is now foreward dated to a time direcly prior to this thread.

Val held up his end of the bargain, and to Reek's mild surprise, he nabbed them a rather plump goose. Reek had never been one to easily catch birds. They had always been too fast for him, and the whole flying thing was sort of an issue in itself. However, the difficulty of the hunt was worth it when it came to fat flying fucker such as this. Few things tasted better in his experiance.

Casting a quick, sidelong glance to Tavi, Reek shifted his gaze back to Val, but most notably, the goose hanging limply in his jaws. "Well, look at that," he said, mouth practically drippng with antipatory saliva. "You did the thing. Now, give it to me." This would be his payment. In exchange, Val would recieve a home.

Despite Valtyr's lanky appearance, he had grown accustomed to ensnaring smaller prey. The youthful Sveijarn's lack of brawn did not allow larger game to be felled and so a diet of ground-birds and small mammals provided decent meals through the colder months. A few amber feathers dropped from the fowl's breast as he carried over to Reek and Tavi, dropping it at their paws when ordered. He swallow, whetting his black lips with a restless lick. The alpha's judgement was not yet passed, and though he had proven a worthy provider, it was still not certain they would allow him to stay. Copper eyes watched the pair closely, posture lax but shrunken. However, he found his gaze drifting to the Maplewood in the distance. Home, he pondered, wondering what waited from him.

Only a moment passed before Valtyr snapped back to attention. "Sooo... ....?" he inquired with a drawl, probing the dark male to better judge his sentiments.

Tagging for reference purposes! Short thread is short!

The goose was finally dropped between Reek's forepaws. He nudged the limp body a couple times with his muzzle, half-expecting it to move and fly away. Birds were tricky little buggers like that; Reek didn't trust them. But now, seeing that the goose was sufficiently dead, Reek turned his gaze back to Val, who now scrutinized them, slackjawed and droning.

"So... What?" He asked, believing the terms he had previously laid out to be sufficient enough. Val had done what he had asked, his place among the Maplewood was now solidified. Then, it finally clicked that Val probably didn't know that Reek had already reached a verdict. Before he would get a chance to respond, Reek chimed, "Oh yeah. You're in."

"Go make yourself at home. In the meantime, I'm going to take this to @Saena." Reek took the goose in his jaws and beckoned for Tavi to follow before retreating back into the confines of his property.
