Depp had been wandering across Sunset Valley in an attempt to gain followers into his aspiring-to-be pack with his witful charm. The wolf held much pride and confidence he would convince many just with his way of speaking, but occasionally the amusing man would leave a conversation empty handed. Ever since he ruled small packs in the past from different territories he had believed he would be the perfect leader, with his natural risk for anyone and at hand manipulation, then again, all of his past packs did seem to fail... Well, that part doesn't matter. This was a new start, a new beginning, new ladies. Ah, the woman rolled back into the rouges mind, what a pig. He didn't mind it though, if anything he took pride in his knowledge of the female kind, even though he's never lasted in any sort of relationship. He did have a couple friends with benefits that lasted awhile, if those count for anything.
The brute caught the scent of a another wolf, and lifted his head in the direction of its trail. A grin grew onto his maw as he started his way towards the owner of the smell. His tail lifted slightly, but not with the anticipation to show dominance over the stranger he had yet to even meet, but he was quite excited to see what he had the potential of doing. Hopefully, this would be his last attempt to conform a group- and actually keep it together,
Not long after first catching the smell of another, he saw a dark fae. What a beaut she was, huh? But this wasn't the time to stare, this was the time to speak. Depp slowed his pace when approaching the female, and left a good amount of space between the two of them. "Well," he paused, slinging his head to the side with a crooked smile. "Hello there."

Living on one's own had both benefits and faults, the prior being what she often focused most of her attention on. The good usually outweighed the bad, yet as of late she was beginning to consider settling somewhere—at least until winter had run it's course. While the thought alone of living beneath someone else's rule left her sneering at an empty space, she could not deny how difficult it was hunting, providing for herself. Until the warmth returned, the only logical thing to do would be to settle into a pack, and yet she did not seek out any borders. To be fair, she did not avoid them, either. The woman simply wandered without a single destination in mind, taking note of territories that were recognizable.
Sen's journey had led her all through the valley, passing by several notable domains in the process, but none being enough to lure her in. For once, she was favouring the open plains over the shadows of a dense forest, and it didn't seem quite as bad as she'd initially written it out to be. That is, until a voice called out to her, belonging to an unknown male. Her silence had been disturbed, something that would have normally caused her to verbally snap at the culprit, but this time around she held her tongue. Since it was a male, she soon found herself plotting, her goal being to get a meal out of him. All she had to do was play her cards right, and then perhaps he could be lured into assisting her in a hunt; the idea of making him into a permanent source of food had crossed her mind, but she neither approved nor denied the thought just yet.
"Hello," she'd returned, turning her body to face his in the process. The Gorgon then began looking him over, examining his features and overall attractiveness. Of course, his appearance didn't effect his hunting abilities, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a handsome male at her side. "What brings you out here?" First step, strike up a conversation. This time around, she felt she wouldn't have to spin an overly elaborate tale to acquire his attention, she'd simply have to act alluring.

Depp had already found the stranger quite attractive, it wouldn't matter how she acted or spoke, he was keen on making some sort of fun out of her. At first he was surprised at her tall stature, but then realized she wasn't as high as he first anticipated. He felt invaded with his mind being tricked with such a simple illusion, but it wouldn't be the first time his eyes misinterpreted his surroundings, specifically if he had eaten especially old pumpkin- which had happened on multiple occasions, all of them seperate. But, it being the winter the brute had no expired fruits and other plants to feast on in hopes of getting drunk, damn he hated the winter. Most other wolves would find disgust in eating anything besides meat, let alone any plant past its expected eating time, but that just meant more for him.
The man wondered if she was anything similiar to him- perhaps she could be a second alpha? Hm, maybe Beta. Sparrow may have been a bit stingy with rank, but if he kept that up it'd probably lead him nowhere. It was rare for the wolf to think about having a mate when first meeting a fae, hah, it was rare for him to think of that ever. All this new pack idea was getting to his head, and he needed to keep it under control. Depp began to imagine himself a devoted mate, speaking romantic words instead of provocative whispers, which only brought him complete disgust. He made sure not to let that shine through his face, and go back to reality. The male tried to focus on other things versus her assets, and continue on with his original reasoning for finding her.
"Truthfully," the rogue spoke, "I've been on the lookout for members." He didn't specify members for what, which was sort of his point. He wanted to get her riveted in the idea of his upcoming group. With each word he did some sort of gesture, it being noticeable or not, and he spoke with a slurred and relaxed tongue. "What brings you out here?"

In the short span of time that she'd known him, plenty of habits had already been noticed and labeled as things of curious proportions. Between the gestures made and his way of speech, it was hard not to be intrigued by the fellow. She wished to learn more of him, but through observations alone; there was no way in hell she'd ask him personal questions, that might give the impression that she actually cared. It wasn't a huge surprise, with thoughts like that, that she snatched every chance given to her to steal a quizzical glance at him. Several more once-overs, too, each followed by a masterful cover-up to ensure she cold proceed without being caught. She was confident in her skills, perhaps overly so—who was to say her arrogance didn't lead to a slip in her cover? Nevertheless, if she was caught she would simply deny it.
Her thieving glances aside, the woman raised a brow as an answer was given. It was vague, lacking in any details, and managing to gnaw at her in spite of her desire to brush it off. Inwardly, she'd tried to wave it away as nothing, but eventually was left unable to dismiss her need to know. Whatever he was planning, whatever required more than him alone, she had to learn of it. Before she could shoot more questions at him, however, her first was returned. Again, she had to hold her tongue, preventing herself from making a crack about his oh-so-marvelous "originality". "Traveling," Sen responded, keeping it short and sweet. Just as he had done, she did not elaborate any further than that. Not only because she didn't feel like delving into the recent events of her life, but because she honestly believed it wasn't any of his business. The likelihood of the serpent offering up her life story to someone she'd known for months was low, making the chance of strangers receiving the information completely nonexistent.
"Why are you looking for members?" The query came quick, hardly leaving her any time to take a breath between then and her previous statement. "What are you planning?" In spite of her slight interrogation, her expression lacked any display of the curiosity she felt. In it's place was a look of suspicion, her gaze having narrowed in on his.

Sparrow was making mental notes in his mind on what he had observed from this girl, and so far it was pretty thin. He did put together that the dark fae was, indeed, a very reserved wolf. Her emotions barely corresponding with her question. The male noticed her short answer, doing the same as he had done. Did she want him to ask where or why she was traveling? He decided it was a no, her being so unforthcoming in the first place. Him on the other hand was moving around and commutative, while she seemed distant and private. He'd have to fix that soon enough, but once again the aloof male had to refocus his time. Him being too observing of her, he completely missed her quick look over on himself.
Depp maneuvered himself a bit, moseying his way to the right of the girl. Once again, discovering bits and pieces about her, while she made it secret, he made it quite obvious. Only now did he realize the two of them had yet to introduce themselves, he had nothing to call this girl, except alluring. His provocative mind aside, he would be sure to ask her her real name. His tail began to slowly sway side to side, and his smile was absent from his maw, for the time being that is. When he wasn't so concentrated on the female it would return, showing smugly as the perusal.
Ah, so his original choice of words did exactly what he had hoped for, she was interested. Even if that part of her didn't show from her body language he was quite aware he had her attention, for now. Depp wasn't sure if this girl was having any trouble as a lone wolf, but he sure as hell knew he did. It wasn't that the wolf had a difficult time surviving, but his actions would sometimes land him in trouble, but if he had others by his side once more, he would be more powerful than ever, and that's exactly what the dark male planned. Her asking a second question made his grin finally display itself once again, having more ground proof he had interested the girl in some form. "If you must know," he began taking a step closer to her and then moving his eyes advertently around, to add more anticipation. "I've been intending to rally up a pack."

Every step he took was watched carefully, her head turning to follow his movements. She was not the paranoid type, but keeping herself safe was always at the top of her list of priorities. It was the reason she was not a fighter, by choice, as the outcome of battles could never be properly calculated—there were too many factors, too many components that even she could not work over quick enough to ensure an absolute victory. What she could do, however, was observe. Stand there and take note of his every little movement, from his excessive gestures to any twitches in his muscles. So she watched, waiting for any sign that meant it was time to leave, but so far a reason to depart had yet to present itself. He was an interesting fellow, but apparently not the malicious type. She could, perhaps, work with that.
Meanwhile the topic of names had eluded her mind entirely. Introductions had never appealed to her, though she knew they had to be done, but that also meant she could easily forget about them. If the deed was not brought up by the other party, it was likely they would never leave the encounter with her name unless she'd developed a faint fondness for them. In truth, she held no qualms with offering her name if asked, taking pride in it. It was more the act itself, the exchange having always felt strange to her. What was the point of it, anyways? To be polite? Often she shrugged it off, deciding against diving into deep thoughts for it.
The male's grin had her wanting to glare at him, but she was quick to correct herself before it could happen. Still, she wondered, had he read too far into her questions? She automatically assumed he believed she was interested—which she was, but never would she admit that to him, or anyone for that matter. Sen was snapped back to reality as he began to speak, his answer being accompanied by a closing of the distance between them. She neither tensed nor moved back to make up for the space lost, but remained in place instead. "A pack, huh?" It was winter, so it made sense, but given his scent she believed he wasn't having much luck. It was solely his own, not a single other being present. "Tell me more about this pack you're trying to start, because from the look of things, I'd say you're not doing too good." Rather, the smell of things.

The male gave an amused laugh, she was correct. He had been having a bit of trouble starting a pack, in both the past and present. He made another note in his mind of her characteristics, observant. He would have to say he was quite observant himself, when truthfully he occasionally noticed things not everyone notices and then forgets them in the back of his mind. So far the list consisted of private, observant, and of course, attractive. That was always important to him, which wasn't a good thing at all. Depp just hated being around anything ugly or fowl, mainly because he spent most of his life around such things, and when finding something beautiful or enticing he had a newfound respect for whatever it is, and gave it a special title. He truly enjoyed the finer things in life.
It wasn't strange for the man to leave out introductions, solely because he usually forgot. Always regretting it in the future of not having anything to call whoever he was speaking too, but most the time the other would introduce themselves, instead of vice versa. Yet, this fae seemed to do the same. Not asking for his name wasn't impolite to him, but made him question if she was going through the same dilemma. She didn't harden her stance nor back away, which he took as he good thing, whether it be because she was comfortable around him, or just so secure that she could fight him without the intimidation side showing.
"Is it really that obvious?" He asked, rhetorically, and tilted his head to the side and grinned wide enough to see his teeth. He wasn't sure if she put it together by assuming just by his looks, personality or... smell, that must have been it. "Well, you're correct, but it's only true because I just made my decision recently, being a lone wolf has grown boring to me. You must know the feeling," he tried to relate to her, by singling her out and my lengthening his answers. "In truth I have nothing, I'm winging this whole thing. Only the mere idea of having territory on Horizon Ridge." That thought might not be around much longer, having multiple areas to chose from. He wouldn't have said so much if she didn't ask for him to speak about it.

There were few times in which the woman wasn't observant, relying heavily on her sight during conversations. She, too, enjoyed being near things that were visibly appealing. Though, over recent months, she'd focused on those of awful appearances, finding they had been far easier to manipulate into joining Serpent Keep. All she or Cethin had to do was show some interest in them, and they'd been putty in their paws. It was amusing, really, how easily they could be controlled simply by touching base with their wishes to reproduce. Presently, though, she was quite enjoying being in the company of someone so handsome. She was certain it'd been for the best that she'd left Cethin, not only because of his plans, but because he'd tied her down. Sen much preferred freedom, which made her somewhat confused by her interest in the male's pack-to-be.
She did not respond to his first statement, nor did she comment on his wide grin. It displayed his incisors, and she took note of their condition before averting her gaze back to his face. In response to his attempt to relate to her, she merely shrugged. "I wouldn't say it's boring, but it's not exactly fun, either." At first, it had been. She'd enjoyed every step taken, but the older she got the more she saw the downside to it all. Survival itself was not the easiest, plus there was the need to always be ten steps ahead of others to ensure she wasn't attacked or severely injured. After awhile, it grew tiresome, but she'd yet to encounter a place worth settling in after her departure from the keep. They all seemed boring, conforming and not worth her time. The male's words, however, had her wondering if she might have perhaps found a chance at leaving her lonesome life in the past.
"Winging it?" Somehow, that thought interested her. It presented room for changes to be made, for her to establish certain things beforehand. The fact that the pack itself was only just starting, and that she assumed she would be the first recruit, seemed to make the idea more intriguing. "What's this Horizon Ridge place like? And what other plans do you currently have for the pack?" An opportunity had presented itself, and she wasn't about to let it slip past her.

His tail wagged for a spit second, before slowly down to a complete stop. Perhaps he would be okay with a second alpha, someone more sturdy and steadfast versus aloof and carefree. He wasn't exactly sure if she was those things, but it'd be perfect if another would be able to keep him from making terrible decisions, like he had in the past. Look after him a bit, but not restrain him from being independant. Though the two had only just met, and still lacked knowledge of each others names, he inferred she would be able to do that. Depp definitely wouldn't control her or anything of the sort, more of a coexistence. Maybe the two would grow a deeper bond, but Sparrow kept himself from delving into those thoughts, his pack didn't even have a name, he shouldn't think so far in the future.
At first being a lone wolf wasn't boring to Depp either, especially since he had groups of other wolves who he would call "friends". But being a loner had the main fault: being alone. He took care of himself generally well, but if he's alone for too long his mind wanders to places he'd rather not go. From hallucinations to old memories he'd rather not go into. He had to agree it wasn't necessarily fun, but he did have his delightful adventures time to time. The dark wolf seemed interested that he was "winging it", since that isn't usually an alpha's mentality, but he anticipated this be no normal pack.
He thought for a moment reliving his time in Horizon Ridge, it wasn't bad but in his travels at Teekon Wilds he had come across the perfect place, with one flaw. "It's nice and all, but the terrain is a little difficult. I'd rather have it in The Tangle, which has everything you'd want in land, and more." He explained, it had a river leading into it, with dense forests and not far away from the beach. "My plans aren't really standard, I don't want it to be a large dictatorship. More relaxed, carefree. Battles aren't my thing, manipulation is though. I just want to build a sanctuary of my own- and other members that is."

There was a slight twitch to her lips as she noticed his tail wag, but she was successful in fighting off a grin by the time it'd stilled. If she were a mind reader, there was a high chance she would be most pleased by his thoughts. When younger, she had never considered herself capable of leading anything, but the more she grew the more she longed to aim for the top. It meant she would have to obey no one, she could keep her freedom while also having the security of a pack present. It was like a win-win scenario, in her mind, though with Serpent Keep things had not been so simple. She and Cethin had been too alike, there was no proper balance and each tried to control the other. It was rather troublesome, but clearly such would not be the case if she was permitted to rule alongside the eccentric male.
For Sen, there had never been friends at her side. She'd been entirely alone, keeping to and taking care of things by herself; perhaps that was why she acted the way she does around others. It had never bothered her, however, until after she'd gotten a taste of pack life. For the longest while, she'd been content on her own. She had favoured the solitary lifestyle, believing it to be the best fit for her, but after Duskfire... well, she just couldn't return to her previous life. To join a group of some sort was her goal, it was something she felt she needed to do so that she might be content with life once more.
The Gorgon was no stranger to difficult terrain—hell, she'd lived on a mountain, a glacier, and within a canyon. Troubling terrains were practically her specialty, but if there was a place better suited for a pack, she would most definitely favour that over something she was familiar with. "Then settle in the Tangle," she stated, words quite blunt. She knew nothing of the packs along the coast, nor did she really care. If that specific territory wasn't already claimed, it was free game no matter how close it was to another that had been. When he spoke of his opinions on battle, she allowed a grin to slip across her maw. "Sounds like we have something in common, then. Wars are bothersome, but manipulation... it's like second nature to me. And a sanctuary? Sounds nice." A safe haven, so to speak, free of problematic situations. "You know, I think I might just have to join you with this little plan of yours."

The male's ears lifted at her words, so he had a recruit already! Perfect, exactly what he needed. He wasn't just delighted because of his small amount of progress in his new pack, but also because of the specific wolf deciding to join. He was already growing a fondness towards Sen, and hope the same vice versa. He figured it would be difficult to discover whether or not she did, with her language being so emotionless. In the past he had failed as a leader, but because of his young age and difficult peers. He wouldn't be strict on who was joining, but if they were to cause unneeded drama, it wouldn't be difficult for the male to kick them out or deny acceptance. He was aware if Sen and him decided to both be alpha's, they would still need four more recruits instead of only three. Which he didn't mind, knowing it would probably easier to gain recruits with another wolf to branch and ask around.
She had been his first person he (sorta) requested to join his pack, and it had been successful. Depp still anticipated him coming empty handed of course, but for the time being he was "on a role". His first reasoning to start a pack was because of his father, who once was the alpha of his own. They were a nomadic pack, traveling together, stealing from other packs. He didn't wish to travel much anymore, but if the offer was to present itself he'd likely take it- but not as a lone wolf. Perhaps a little stealing would take place, but that would go into discussion later.
The wolf had suggested to just take The Tangle as it is, regardless of any possible packs close to it. Which when she said so, he decided then and there they would take that land. It was perfect, especially with it being close to the beach, which he was very fond of. She spoke of their similarities, and had smiled when he spoke of his thoughts. Giving him security that he had gained some sort of relationship with the wolf. The girl agreed with the stupidity of war, only making him favor her even more. "I would certainly love if you did," he smirked, suggesting his feelings towards her. "What plans would you have for a pack if you were to rule it?" Depp implied her chances of ruling along side with him.

To acquire a fondness for someone, especially so suddenly, was rare for her. The last time it had happened was when she'd met Cethin, whose ability to manipulate others had perhaps exceeded even her own. It was the first time anyone had been able to unlock something within her, yet it appeared there was a chance that the same event could be occurring once more. The serpent was still uncertain, many emotions being foreign to her, but she was certainly open to further exploring her thoughts on him. To delve deeper, possibly even learn more about him in the process, and eventually decide upon what it was that she ultimately thought of him. For the time being, her focus was placed elsewhere, deciding information would come with time. In the meantime, she could assist him in acquiring members; it wouldn't be difficult at all for her to appeal to other lone wolves and encourage them to follow her to him, or so was what she believed.
In truth, Sen had no real reason to seek out the position of a leader. There was no real legacy she had to uphold, no traditions in need of being followed, just the mindset she'd been born with. An empress at heart, really, though her means to an end were not always the most appropriate. There was little she wouldn't do to obtain followers, which could prove useful, if she played her cards correctly. Her methods, however unorthodox they were, had worked in the past, so she could only hope that luck would be on her side this time around. Now that she'd shown her interest and agreed to join him, she wouldn't let him fail. Hell, she'd sooner kidnap children and drag them back to serve under his rule than let his plan fall to ruins.
Sen had not read too much into his first statement, the suggestion made being obvious enough. If she were the type, perhaps her face would have grown heated—luckily, that just wasn't the type of wolf she was. It helped, too, that he'd posed a question directly after, placing her attention on something else. What would she do? Not what she'd done within the keep. A shared dictatorship was, in her opinion, the worse idea to ever have been thought up. "Ensure it's survival," came her answer, the statement resolute. "Keep out anyone who caused unwarranted trouble, for sure." Was there much else to do? She didn't want to control every little aspect, just the components that could lead to their downfall if not handled properly. "Make sure they knew who ruled over them, but other than that, let the ranks toy with one another however they want."

Depp had only grown a liking towards another wolf so quickly twice in his life, one being an exciting rapscallion of a wolf who was quite the loud mouth. He looked up to the older wolf, of the name Abe, he had lived an adventurous life in such a little time, who knows where he was now. Abe spoke of stories with humans and ships, oceans and mountains, brought up animals he could never dream of, what a man he was. The second being Arabella, a female he used to have strong feeling for when he was a teen. They'd started his first pack together, but the girl was later killed by a sickness he had no knowledge of. Of course he had grown fond of many others, but only few cases as such a rapid rate. He wasn't sure of his absolute feelings towards the nameless girl as well, but knew he would have plenty of time to decide upon that manner, the two had a better good at the moment and that was the pack. The dark girl spoke of her manipulation skills, and he knew that would be a perfect trait to acquire members fast.
He didn't doubt she would be a large help to him, but he wasn't sure her loyalty to be true or not. He decided to take the chance though, even if he was blindly walking into something he would regret in the future, but as shown before, in his way of winging the formation of a new pack, he was the type to live in the present, making decisions without a second thought was his usual way of life. Depp usually didn't regret it either, knowing he had just been true to himself than being someone he wasn't. Even if that meant him waking up in unfamiliar territory. It usually just meant another adventure to him.
The girl didn't seem fazed by his first comment, only making him more curious in her thoughts, what could be going through her mind? He liked her answers to his previous question, agreeing with all of them. He would want to own a free pack, with opportunity and freewill. "If you don't mind me asking," the rouge wolf began, his speech continuing to be slurred, and him moving his head to the side, "What is my first pack members name?"

Even Sen was uncertain of her loyalties. It would, perhaps, take a bit for her to be devoted entirely to the male and his pack, but there wasn't any chance she'd leave. Maybe for a short bit of time to explore Teekon further, or the surrounding areas of whichever territory he wished to claim, but never would she leave for good. Already she was committed, and her time would be taken up by the pack as she worked to lure potential members straight to him. That effort would not be taken lightly by her, and so she would remain to see it through to the end. Besides, there was also the matter of what was most logical. If she left at any point, she would have nowhere to go and would, once again, be a lone wolf. She would be by herself, left to the mercy of the wilderness. Staying was the best option, and she wanted to see where it would lead her.
Names were then brought up, her own, to be more specific. It'd taken her no more than a second to decide he was worthy of being given her true name, rather than something that'd been fabricated right there on the spot. "Sen Gorgon. What's yours?" It made sense, of course, for her to know his name. It'd be a lot better than calling him "that handsome fellow whose pack I'm joining" or "the weird man". There was also the matter of recruits; how could she get anyone to follow her if she couldn't even provide the name of their leader-to-be? It'd be problematic, for sure, and she'd much rather skip that step.

Sen Gorgon, so the alluring fae did own a name, Depp found the name particularly enticing, whether it be because the wolf who possessed it or him finding it beautiful on its own. Perhaps a bit of both? He began thinking of the other facts of a pack, him being unprepared with what might bombard him in the future. Oh well, consequences were consequences. She may be dedicated to him, but Sparrow would be the same to her and their future pack. Imagine what the two of them could accomplish, in multiple paths, from their relationship to the sanctuary the two would build. He was quite thankful in meeting her, if he hadn't it would probably be more difficult to accomplish his ambitions, and for her to hop onto his idea out of the blue, her probably never thinking of creating a pack if not because of him.
He usually only said his middle name when introducing himself, but because she had said her full name, at least what he thought was her full name, he would say his. "Teague Depp Sparrow," he announced, somewhat proud that he could present his whole name instead of his usual "Depp". "Call me Depp though," He usually wouldn't mention the rest of his name, assuming the other wolf didn't care, but she gave him the chance to speak it all.

Last post from me. c: We can get another thread for them up at the Tangle wherever they go next lmao
The name spoken was just as intriguing as the male who owned it, seeming to fit him perfectly. It was definitely a lot better than just describing him, and would save her face since she wouldn't actually have to admit to her thinking he was handsome. Two birds, one stone; also known as a winning scenario, in her mind. She was certainly looking forward to joining him, perhaps even more so after being given his name. It seemed to make the situation more real, and it dawned her then exactly what she had gotten herself into. She'd made a commitment and, oddly enough, that didn't make her stomach churn.
"Well then, Depp," she began, her words followed by a grin and a shift in her stance. "I suppose we should get going then, huh? Wolves aren't just going to stumble their ways to us." From there she'd move forward, going past him only to then stop and look back, waiting for him to join her. Truthfully, she needed him to lead the way, having never been to either of the places he'd mentioned. It was bound to be a new adventure, a start to a new chapter of her life—and for once she would not be alone.

Depp felt his chest warm up, this was actually happening! He's one step closer to his dream, alongside this beut, Sen. His tail wagged for a split second, but you could see excitement in his features. He was already enjoying the company of this not-so-much stranger, it seemed the two really complimented each other in the best ways. Sparrow decided to trust that she could hold him down and prevent him from making too rash decisions, he was often the type, if you couldn't tell, to jump towards chance. Lacking in organizations and form, but, upon meeting Sen he realized he could have someone to watch his back.
The man got a strange feeling hearing the girl speak his name, but he ignored it and just held a smile on his maw, seeing her grin as well. She had made a valid point, this wouldn't be as easy as before, him having no friends in Teekon Wilds. His past failing groups had mostly been ones of friends or friends of friends, but this would be much more difficult. When she moved ahead of him, he tilted his head, her going the exact direction of where the two were to go. Lucky coincidence probably, but he trotted to her side.

I'll make the new post now in Broken Boulder, and continue in Horizon Ridge so the two could decide to not chose it
