All welcome~ Perhaps @Lunae? :)
It was midnight, but somehow the sky seemed as bright blue as a tropical ocean — at least to a skygazer who saw more light than most. The night was so clear of clouds that the navy blanket above was littered with an endless series of stars, each lighter than the last, and the moon shone among them ever-godly. Noctura roamed above the caverns of Sunbeam Lair tonight, though usually he preferred to explore beneath. Atop the mountain range the black wolf walked the night and consulted the heavens, intrigued by their brightness and seeking meaning in that light.
The shadowy wolf took it upon herself to explore every corner of the new home. Feeling more comfortable in the cover of darkness, she became braver and explored further. The little moons had appeared every night of her journey, but it was the will to survive that she followed at that time. Now, when she found her home, it was as if her life began again.
The little moons put on a great show in the sky, twinkling as bright as ever. It were as if it was the first time she had seen them. Like backwards snow, falling into the great abyss named the sky. But, she slowly kept walking on nimble feet, though her mismatched eyes kept glued to the sky.
Though it was a scent that brought her mind back to the chains of reality. A male, she could decipher, but not much else. Her steps were nearly silent, a trick she had learned to be audibly hidden from possible enemies. Soon, she could see a wolf, much like herself, amazed by the stars, just like her.
By now, any normal wolf would call out to the stranger, maybe a polite conversation. But the shadowy wolf had limitations, so instead, she tapped her paw as loud as she could against the ground. The sound was quieter than she hoped, but still detectible. This would (hopefully) catch the attention of the stranger.

Hi~ ^_^
Everywhere in Sunbeam Lair that showed the stars, Noctura looked up and saw them. The canopy below had great gaps in it, and the rocky roof did too in places, and of course atop the mountain range there was plenty to see too. But as for the clearing in the heart of the territory, which boasted a spectacular view of the heavens framed by an emerald canopy... he reserved that for his nightly meetings with Asterr, to whom he'd been growing ever-closer. He did not sit there alone or with others. That clearing was for the two silver-eyed wolves alone.
But today he turned to see another wolf, this one unfamiliar. She appeared to be a teenager, perhaps younger than Leo, and had a coat as black as night. Given the welcoming scent of Asterr that lingered around her, Noctura sensed she was new to Ryūjin. The majestic Gamma greeted her with a light nod of his muzzle, then gestured upwards:
what do you see?

The voice was interesting, and quickly captured into her memories. She now treasured the sounds coming out of every wolf's mouth, like a precious pearl. She responded easily, not with words, but with the language of movement.
She caught his silvery eyes, her own blue and grey shimmering with excitement. There was literally lights hung carefully into the dark oblivion. How could someone not be excited about that!? The young girl couldn't stop herself from glancing back at the magic in the sky.

There was something endearingly pup-like about the girl (who was of course a child regardless) — it was possible her enthusiasm for the night's sky was enthusiasm for everything, a delight for all around her. But as the huge black wolf stood in the little one's presence, he got the impression that she was more in touch with the sky than most her age. She was, perhaps, deeper than she knew.
It's life-affirming, isn't it, he mused, not yet finding any issue with the girl's lack of speech.
There are some wolves who look to the night's sky just to be reminded of life's prevailing magic.

She carefully listened to every word. Not heard; listened. His voice was rich, his words powerful yet calm. The shadowy wolf let one silent nod after her words, mismatched eyes now sneaking glances at his. As she wondered of what specific chunk of sky he was staring at, she let herself sink into the abyss -- no, the young girl floated within the lights.
She dragged her vision a bit towards the large male, her train of thought leading towards questions about him. What was his name? How high of rank was he? Was he a friend of Asterr's?
But, her attention span could be very short at times, and her eyes just had to look at the stars again; what if they dissapeared when she looked away? No matter how much the world tried to keep her attention, her eyes would always return to the great sky and its magic.

Fading, as it seems Lunae has an inactive account for now!
It was peaceful, he felt, to share the skies with another — especially one as attentive and mysterious as this girl. Wolves like them sometimes seemed as if they had descended. For when they looked up, it was as if they were homesick, and looking up towards their ancient home.
Which is your favourite?he asked her, his eyes glancing at all the wonders of the night's sky, from the sundry stars (each a different level of brightness), to the darkly coloured clouds, to the moon herself.
No matter what the answer, he would be content. He was glad enough just to sit here peacefully with a wolf who took it all in, and asked her own questions as she did so — even if it was just with her eyes, which glowed like those very stars.
