Minna smiled happily as the female was accepted, a smile that grew wider as Minna noticed her enthusiasm. She nodded to Aaron as he asked her to show the new girl around, she was glad for the task. She wished to get to know this female more. She brushed against her pelt as Liri had once done to her, to welcome and spread the pack scent onto the girl. "Na sicher!" She motioned or the female to follow her and spun on her heel, eager to show her around.
She led the female toward the mountain about a ten minute journey away, chattering idily in German as they went. She had an idea of what she wanted to show the female, something she had discovered a few days back and thought was simply brilliant.

Aveline followed, prancing along wath a jovial attitude. Her brown orbs took in everything as they walked. She felt at home with Minna alongside her, chattering away in German. They weaved their way through leafless thickets and around thick, dry trunks. It was funny how the forest floor remained shady even after most of what makes up it's canopy overhead was gone. Suddenly, she found herself wondering what happened that the Wilds. Why was everything so... dead looking? It wasn't a fire, for nothing was scorched and black. It could have been a drought, but the water that was now present showed signs of being there long before she arrived. Stumped, she turned to Minna to ask.
"Wenn Sie nichts dagegen fragen mich , was hier passiert ist ? Warum sieht alles so ... na ja ... tot?" She inquired as they continued to walk. Soon a mountain loomed up in front of her, large and grand. It was a maginficent sight and Aveline couldn't help but gasp. "Wie schön!"

Minna wondered at Avelines question. She must be very new to Teekon, and had joined Rosing's soon after her arrival. "Es war Insekten... Heuschrecken." she hesitated, while she had never seen the swarms firsthand, she had heard enough horror stories. "Millionen von ihnen, schwärmen durch die Wildnis" She shuddered to think of that many insects ravaging the beautiful greenery. She caught sight of the mountain, and heard Aveline gasp beside her. "Isn't it beautiful? It is called Little Goat Mountain- don't ask me why"

Aveline's eyes widened at Minna's answer. She'd never heard of anything like that in her life. She would definitely explain the leafless terrain though. She'd never seen a locust, nor did she wish too. She hoped those horrid insects never, ever came back.
She shifted her gaze to the mountain before them, rising up into the sky. It was majestic, and Aveline couldn't help be in awe. At least it got her mind of of... what were they called? Locusts! The name of the mountain confused her and she tilted her head, trying to imagine it forming a little goat shape. Nope. " Vielleicht gibt es kleine Bergziegen , die dort leben. " She suggested to Minna. Even though the girl had gone back to speaking English -- still a slightly foreign language to her -- she liked having someone to speak German to, so she was going to speak German. " Haben Sie schon einmal eine Bergziege gegessen? Sie sind sehr , sehr gut. "

Minna listened with a grin as the girl spectulated about the name of the mountain. It was very likely that she was correct, but Minna had never seen any goats on the mountain. But then again, the famine had driven all large prey again. Perhaps in the summer the goats would return. She would have to ask Amara. "Vielleicht könnten Sie mir zeigen, wie man solche Bergzeigen jagen." She had seen, but never tried to hunt such creatures before. It ought to be difficult- they where naturals at climbing the steep mountain faces.
With a flick of her muzzle, she motioned for Aveline to follow her, heading for the base of the mountain at a steady pace. She wanted to show the female the caves at the base of the mountain, and potential den sites if you so wished to live in the rock.

Sorry for the wait!
Aveline laughed and turned to Minna. "Ich weiß nicht, wie sie zu jagen ! Wir müssen gemeinsam lernen. " She told her friend with a swish of her tail. The two girls continued to walk up to the base of the mountain. Aveline's eyes began to grow wider as she saw the likes of the caves.
They were large, deep cracks that jutted deep into the rock. She walked right up to one of them. She peered inside. They were eerie and dark and they made her skin crawl and the hair along her spine rise. She shook her head and backed up, turning back to Minna. "Sie sind gruselig . Wohnt jemand in einem? Ich weiß nicht, wer würde . " She told her friend with a smile upon her features. She turned back to the darkness, head cocking in curiosity. They were creepy indeed... what a great place to explore? But she didn't want to drag Minna in there so she pushed the idea aside for later.

No worries!

Minna chucked, eager for the time when prey was once again plentiful, and she along with Aveline could learn to hunt mountain goat. They walked at a fast pace, and soon arrived at the entrance to a few caves. Having explored some of them, Minna understood that most led to dead ends, having not yet discovered the blue pools, and only a few shwed any promise of actually being exciting. Aveline seemed excited, if not a little put back, by the tunnels, and Minna smiled. "Ich glaube nicht. Sollten wir in sie gehen?" she asked, a twinkle in her eye.

Aveline pricked her ears at the girls question. So she wanted to go in? Why not? Aveline nodded her large head eagerly and bounced right in, almost immediately becoming invisible in the darkness. Her tail swished and her paws were the only thing that could be heard from her. "Dies ist so genial! Glaubst du, es wird etwas am Ende sein?" She asked, her voice ringing through the tunnel like cave.
As her eyes adjusted to the darkness arond her, she began to noticed small, forming stalagtites and stalagmites sprouting from both the ceiling and floor. She weaved her way around them, listening to the eery drip-drops of water falling to the cave floor. She wondered if there were any bats.

Happy at her friend's enthusiasm, she leapt into the caves alongside her. She seemed eager to explore, for that Minna was glad. Her friend's eyes fell upon the stalagmites and stalactites that littered the ceiling and floor of the cave. Minna loved them, these odd formations, and wondered how it was they came into existence. The steady drip-drip of water, the rustlings of things that lived in these caves, all screamed adventure at Minna, and with a gesture at her friend, she looked deeper into the caves. She would show Aveline whatever she desired to see, making sure she was well informed on any aspects of the territory she so wished to explore.
