All Welcome
The stars sparkles above , lights illuminating a blanket of  black. The sky was mirrored upon the bay in a display of silver and gold glitter spread across a pallet of black paint. His love afar with the sea did not stop short of the bay, as it was the bay that swallowed up the rivers of the earth and gave them to the ocean. The swarthy male paced the rocky, sandy shore, pausing every few moments to gaze at the beauty before him. His nose twitched, a saline smell filling his nostrils and breathed a deep sight.

He had no desire to travel further tonight, and so the pitch wolf began to clear a spot to sleep upon. He lowered his muzzle to pick up and remove the larger stones , casting them easily as if they were kittens. Next Jagoda used his sharp claws and strong front limbs to dig a depression in the sediment. The finishing touches entailed moving a few more rocks around, and when he was satisfied with this makeshift bed, he collapsed into it, resting his sleepy head upon his paws. It was perfect. He could see and hear the waves from here.

So it did lead to the sea, didn't it.
She had followed the river, as it left behind her Isle home and departed northward. At the borders, she had howled to tell the rest of their ragtag group of her intentions and had set off without further notice. Though a collected and confident creature, she harboured a secret love for exploration, for questions that needed solving. So her paws had led her across plain and woodland until she had reached the sea. She had then headed east, skirting around a pack's land and making note of it's location. Finally, she had reached a bay, made a sparkling canvas by the still and undisturbed sky above.

The sea was a beautiful creature, a temperamental one at that, but tonight it was at peace with the world and lay still in ist's constraints. And so the night sky, a dazzling patchwork of stars coupled with sky as dark as the pelt of many a wolf, lay reflected. With that thought in mind, her roaming gaze sought a patch of inky sky at the beach, though this one did not reflect in it the stars above. As this was a perfect night, one that seemed to speak to her as had the woods of Blackfeather so many weeks ago, she approached with no ill intentions. She stilled her paws a short distance from the black-clad creature, chuffing a quiet greeting as her steel eyes sought out the bay.

He would be safe here. Unlike the unpredictable tides of the ocean, bay tides were tiny  by comparison. They would not creep upon the shot and claim him in their deadly waters, as would those of Jagoda's love, the sea. The masked wolf was relaxed, the wind gently caressing his fur almost like a mother's soft paw. He had almost fallen into the world of dreams when a soft woof fills his ears, which perked straight up.

He lifted his head and with sleepy eyes looked at the pale female who had approached him. In the night her snowy fur had a ghostly effect, but she wore the face of an angel. Jagoda smiled sleepily and greeted her with a thump of his thick tail. "Hello,miss... What brings you here this evening?" The last note of speech was stretched by  a wide yawn, exposing his fangs and tongue. He closed his maw and smiled at her once more.

He seemed friendly enough, very amiable considering that she was a stranger, so she sought to take advantage of his kindness, if she could. He had odd markings, she realized, almost like a raccoon. A mask. She glanced at the bay, then back at the male, expression neutral, but a smile played on her lips as she tried to match his friendliness. Wolves were more likely to open up to one who wore a friendly face.

"I have come north to scout for my pack. Perhaps, kind sir, you could tell me of this bay?" she intoned, voice smooth. The shore, she realized, was an odd place for a nap, but she would not question this man about his sleeping habits.
