She had decided, after a while resting in her den, to go see after the pups again. She hadn't seen them since the claiming, and had noted then that they were growing fast. Wondering idly if they had learned to speak yet, and if so, how well, she rose to her paws and padded softly toward her Lady's den. The recent, official titling of her friend did little to affect the bond she shared with the mother, though she treated her with a little more respect then she had before, not that she had never not shown respect to the mother of two.
She was quick to arrive by the den, halting a short ways from it and letting out o soft chuff, not wanting to awaken the brood should they be asleep. It was late morning, and she doubted it, but she would not assume anything. Hoping one of the pups, perhaps @Pyro, would tumble out of the den, she waited patiently.

Sorry, this came out shorter than I expected :s
The soft call was sufficient for Pyro's attentive ears to prick up in curiosity. He had been laying down, snuggled between his mother's belly and his brother's butt. For some reason they had stayed in late that morning, but Pyro had been awake for hours and boredom was crawling up his head. Aero did not need to call twice, for the second he heard, Pyro jumped out of bed and trotted out of the den with his tongue sticking out and tail wagging at the familiar face of aunt Aero. The little one yipped at her and stood in his hinders in order to place his forepaws on the greyscale female's chest to lick her face.

Sure enough, a pup came bounding out of the den- "Pyro!" she called softly, greeting the pup. She felt a protectiveness over him, seeing as he was smaller and not as bulky as his older brother. Vassago, she was sure, would follow in the path of mercenary, like his mother and father, and she hoped to see him take care of his younger sibling. Pyro, she thought, was destined for other things, perhaps he would become a counselor, like his father, or a naturalist, like his mother. She thought him no less because of it, she was not so stupid as to imagine that mercenary was the best and only good trade.
He placed his paws on her chest, licking her face, and she hummed happily. How lucky Malice was, to have a brood of her own. The wraith could not see herself settling down anytime in the near future, but still...
She affectionally returned Pyro's enthusiasm by placing a kiss of her own on the top of his head. "Hello, Pyro" she hummed happily, face split in a smile. An idea came to her, and after placing another kiss on the pups brow she asked him, "Do you want to learn, Pyro?" Perhaps she could teach him something of the weather, or perhaps of some plants. She knew a little in both fields, and could surely try and teach him a little of it.

Her own kisses made Pyro giggle. It was always good seeing familiar faces that weren't the den's wall. It was boring talking to them, but Aero was so much more fun! She could actually breathe and stuff, not to mention picking up a stick to play.
Words made more sense every day in Pyro's ears, he could already recognize a lot of them and the tone in which they were said. For example, Aero said his name, and the recognition made him even more excited. Then she asked a question, but Pyro didn't have an answer. What did she want from him? His yellowing eyes looked around as if trying to find the answer in a physical form, but the boy gave up and looked back at the female, head tilted to a side, tongue lolling out and tail swaying rhythmically as he tried to make out of auntie Aero's face what the hell she was saying.

He looked confused, as Vassago had been. She knew that Pyro had not yet begun to speak, as Vassago had, and sometimes, she worried a little. But he was coming along on his own. Perhaps he was a perfectionist, and would not talk until he could do so well. Instead her gaze fell on a small wildflower growing at the base of a tree a few paces away. She knelt by it, gesturing Pyro to come closer. She nudged the little blue flower, saying as she did. "Flower. Flower, Pyro. This is a Flower" She but stress on the word flower, hoping to teach him only the most basic of things until he could speak.

Pyro's focus follows aunt Aero like a pointer, landing on a wildflower at the base of a tree not too far away. The sight excites him, and he runs to take a closer look. There were many flowers, many colors, and all of them were so marvelous!
Dark ears swivel back at Aeronwyn as she speaks, and his head follows with a smile. "Blue," he adds, and turns to look back at the flower curiously. He nudges it with one paw carefully, and giggles at the way it springs back into shape.

Well. She gazed at him thoughtfully, obviously, he was not delayed in speech or thought at all. She smiled, nodding her head. "Yes, Pyro. Blue." she agreed, looking at him thoughtfully. Her gaze flashed to the leaves above, a vibrant green. She stood, leaning her front paws against the bark and stretching out her back, standing as a bear might too grab delicately a particularly large, vibrant leaf.
She dropped with a soft thud, letting the large leaf fall the ground before the boy. "What's this, Pyro?" she asked, watching him curiously.

It tasted funny, the blue flower. It was strange because it smelled delicious, but in the mouth it felt like a lot of thorns pressed against the tongue. Pyro spat what remained of it in his mouth, displeased with the taste before turning to attend aunt Aero's question.
The brown boy looks up, wagging his tail airily as she drops a bright green leaf to the ground. And he blinks. There were suddenly two leaves in the ground, each one more blurry than the last one, and then Aero's voice became muffled. The boy shakes his head, unable to focus enough to voice the answer.

He shakes his head, and she furrows her brow, confused. "Pyro? What's wrong?" he looks odd, quite simply, and she sniffs him over. Is he confused? "It's a leaf, Pyro. It comes from-" she stops, her gaze has fallen on the blue flower. Or rather, the lack of the blue flower. Her gaze travels from it, to the chewed pile of leaves on the ground, to the green around the boy's mouth.
Her gaze widens, she does not think anything is wrong just yet. "Pyro! We don't eat flowers!" she chides him, nudging him playfully. Maybe he simply does not like the taste.

Every sound after the double vision came like a muffled noise to Pyro's ears. Aero, too, became a contourless shape, that became bigger as she approached to nudge him perhaps a bit too roughly for his current state.. He lost balance and dropped to the ground, groaning as his tummy started aching. He didn't know what was going on, but he sure didn't like how the blue flower was making him feel.

Her ears folded back against her skull in Pyro's obvious discomfort. what was wrong with the flower? flowers could hardly harm you, unless...she glanced at the flower. it didn't look particularly menacing. however, when her gaze snapped back to Pyro, it was to her alarm that she saw him on the ground. he groaned, and her expression grew wide with shock a moment before she nudged him onto his back and nudged his stomach, poking his maw and abdominal in a desperate attempt for him to throw up the content of his stomach...and the flower. what the hell even was it?

Pyro squeaked as he felt his tummy grumble, rumble and bloat, and everything around him suddenly started looking brighter. He wished he hadn't eaten that flower, that stupid blue flower that tasted terrible, but he couldn't go back now... Or could he?
He started heaving at some point, way after the drool became bubbly, but the puke did not come until way after he lost consciousness. It was green and slimy, free from any solid contents other than the remains of blue flower Pyro had ingested, but he hadn't invoked it willingly. He was flat on the ground, curled on himself as his body did what it had to do to survive, but if he didn't get any help any residues of the plant inside him could mean death.
