The past month had been an adventure to say the least: in a wildly spontaneous mental breakdown, Grace had ran towards the only place she'd ever truly called home in her heart. Crying, running, and all in a blur, the russet girl had soon found herself closing in on the Marauders Keep. More tears had flowed, much guilt had been felt, but it wasn't there she stopped. Her heart pulled to Nova like separated magnets, and within a week and a half of leaving the Caldera the two females dug a den for themselves. The wise elder, now a Sister of Larksong Grotto and faithful servant of both Hiram and Raas, had calmed Graces nerves, brought her back to reality. It wasn't for another two weeks, however, till she decided it was time to go back to the Caldera. The Redhawks had been kind, let her into their home, and she felt guilt towards herself because of this. Trick had led them there to do good, and even though she didn't appreciate being told she should keep her Hunter trade, the yearling understood.
After another long week of almost constant travel, her leg burning but only just a little inflamed, Grace stopped upon the borders. She was unsure if she should just walk right on in like she'd never been gone, or if she needed to be re invited, but either way she needed to tell Peregrine why she'd been gone an entire month. Would he be cross? Should she LIE, tell him she'd been hurt? It wasn't the best foot to start off of, lying to the alphas she wanted to become family with, but neither was deserting because of a mental problem.... If she were to tell him of her problems, her worry for her mother, would he understand? Or would there always be an underlying fear of her leaving again without warning? There were so many questions, even more worries, but it all lead back to one problem: what did she tell Peregrine? She didn't know Fox or how she would react, but as far as Grace knew it was the dark alpha male who handled the borders. Before she could be spotted by anyone and confronted, the russet female turned and trotted off with tears in her eyes. She didn't stop until she was sheltered in Bramblepoint, sobbing quietly to herself.
