The Maiden was urged to join a pack by the Mother and Crone. They whispered that it would provide the most protection in the colder moons, as it was slowly approaching. The Maiden at first resisted, wanted to spend the rest of her days skipping care free through this wilderness, but the Mother, Kourotrophos took over the vessel, dragging Hekate to the sea.

A pack resides here. The Mother growled sternly to the Maiden, who protested at the sudden change in power. No fair! The Maiden, Melinoe whined, invisible lips pouting. The Crone, Chthonia, only cackled. The sea, the domain of Posidein, roared at the arrival of the Triple Goddess. Kourotrophos used the vessel's nose to scent out the pack's borders, before firmly placing her paws on the edge.

Throwing the vessel's head back, she howled, calling for the leaders of the sea pack. With that the Mother waited, eyes set firmly in front of her. When do I get her back? She's mine! Melinoe said impatiently. Kourotrophos growled back, voice firm. After we join. You would only mess things up.

Quote:hope you don't mind Chrys keepin her company!

Beneath the flushed heavens Chrysanthemum appeared demure. Resting at the mouth of her hollow, flaxen hairs were illuminated to a whitish tone and made her seem angelic in her quiet slumber. Dreams, weren't a common indulgence of Chrys' and so her expression was nothing more than neutral. At times she had envied those who visited such alternate realities but as of late she considered herself better off. For all of the change and the healing that she had undergone it seemed fair that she was allowed the full rest that she needed.

However, she was not immune to outside disturbances. Permeating her dark and silent unconsciousness, the request for attention was initially heeded with little more than squinting blinks and a few yawns. Turning her ears forward without moving Chrysanthemum deciphered that the stranger wasn't that far from her at all. Staring numbly for a little while longer, it was finally with a sense of purpose that she rose to her feet and shook. Putting herself in the correct direction, the aspiring warden advanced with drive.

Arriving within an appropriate amount of time the juvenile stopped herself a reasonable distance back and appraised the female. Although the premise of her appearance was distracting in its nonconformity, she did manage to ascertain the hopeful's approximate age and health. However, she was intent to discover much more and so hardened her stare before commanding, "state your name and purpose." It wasn't the most chivalrous introduction, but Chrysanthemum would leave the charm to whatever Alpha relieved her. As far as she was concerned her position as would be warden was to gather the necessary information.

It wasn't long before a wolf came to answer their call. A juvenile, like the vessel was. The Mother shifted, blue and green eyes fixed on the white female. She asked for their name and purpose, but in such a demanding manner. As customary of the goddess, she answered in all three voices.

"We are Hekate.". She said, head held high. The goddess shifted back into the Mother's grasp to answer the second part of the question. "And we are here to join your pack."

Chrysanthemum wasn't spoiling for contention, but the female's introduction was disappointing. Sure, she had rendered the needed information but, her stance and choice of phrase were all wrong. Where were these 'others' mentioned, and what reason could she have to stand higher than Chrysanthemum?

Buckling her brow as friction burbled in her throat, she offered the stranger a one time warning against her apparent carelessness. "Who's we," she said as her impaired gaze flicked nervously to the side for assurance. "And who do you think you are?" Although she doubted that Ragnar wished for cowardice ninnies, she was also certain that insolence was not in his interest either. The odd female would do well to learn the difference before he appeared.

The Mother bristled silently, though the Maiden laughed. Stop being all high and mighty for once, Kourotrophos! They don't know we're the goddess. They're heathens! Kourotrophos sighed and fixed the vessel's mix-matched gaze on the juvenile. "As I told you before, we are Hekate. The Triple Goddess. And we want to join your pack." She hissed, feeling a bit of anger rising.

Her head dropped low for a moment, showing the proper respect that the Mother remembered was essential to most wolf packs. The Crone laughed again. Took you long enough, dearie. "We would like to speak to your alpha."

The strangers offense was not taken for granted. Skewing her brow as she continued to stare, Chrysanthemum was still bothered by her answer. For her part, she had little to no practice with religion. In fact, until Ragnar had mentioned his Gods, she had never even considered it. "We'll see what the Jarl thinks of the three of you." Thus far the woman's beliefs sounded like a misdiagnosed mental problem but, that was not altogether for Chrys to decide.

However, that didn't mean that she wasn't tempted to further test the red wolf. It was a part of her job description after all. Fixing her face as she drew a few steps closer, the juvenile challenged the loner's request for a larger audience. "And tell me three Hekate, what would you tell him that your talents are? Surely with three amongst you he would expect just as much talent. " Swaying her tail behind her, the one-eyed wolf waited expectantly for an answer.
