@Leon
Thistle walked along the shores her mind and heart conflicted, but still going strong. She had never understood how her mother had been able to take all the abuse from Fang, until now. She had not realized that when you loved someone it was enough to cripple you indefinitely. She missed her mother, badly and it hurt even more to miss when she would look in the water and see her mother's face. Her mother had been a smaller wolf, but not by much. She had always seemed so much smaller because she was timid and hid herself well.
Unlike her mother though Thistle had a back bone, though in her mother's defense as she had aged she had done well, and her father lords above he was wonderful to her mother, he treated her so well. Thistle smiled as she thought of her mother's words if she knew the quandary her daughter was in, though her mother probably would have just shook her head and said we all make our own choices little cloud we all make our own. She slowly stopped on the shore and sitting to her haunches she let the water ebb and flow across her sandy paws, as she traced patterns in the sand.

@Thistle Cloud
What... was this?
The air smelled so different. So fresh, crisp-- it electrified him. The breeze was warm and sharp. Salty. The horizon went on forever; once the land ended, the water engulfed it and then there was nothing but water as far as the eye could see. Waves continuously lapped at the sandy shores and the sound of them was the most soothing thing he'd heard of late.
Leon was already so comfortable here. He loved this place. What was it? He'd never been to a territory like this before! Not in all his four years of life. He'd been missing out on this his whole life. That was an awful sin, but fate had brought him to Teekon Wilds and now he could find himself a home and get to live here. Then he could come to this place often. Every day if there was pack close enough! Surely there was. Who would pass up this view? The sights, the sounds, the smellls. Everything about this place caused the dark wolf to relax completely.
He'd ended up walking along the shores for about an hour, standing near enough to the water that every wave washed over his large paws before retreating. Then he simply walked in the water to where his paws were always covered but his belly stayed dry. His ears were limpy hanging to the sides, bouncing up and down with every step the lithe brute took. His stride was a lazy meander; everything about him said he was a content, relaxed fellow.
So much so, the Hughes man almost ended up missing potential company! That would've been a tragedy. He sure felt like sharing the scenery and this good mood with someone else. With a casual, confident smirksmile on his long muzzle he moved toward the small amber-colored female. His curly tail wagged relaxedly above his rump and a gruff but friendly "woof" sounded from him as he approached.
"Beautiful place, huh?" he asked with a cheesy grin. "I never seen a place like this in m'entire life. What is it?"

" @Leon "
Thistle had never noticed a different in smells, though she did now. The coast smelled fresh and new while the forest smelled earthy and older. She could spend hours in the bay’s meadows, she loved the coast, but mostly just because it reminded her of home and her family who she missed very much.
She imagined her mother would love it here. Her mother had a forest and a coast near her as well. Thistle had grown up there, and she missed it. Though she loved her home here too, it actually reminded her of home and she imagined that was why she loved it so much. She wondered at her parents, how they were getting along, and if they had children this year, well she supposed it would have been last year, did she have any younger siblings and were they like her, or were they like her brothers.
Thistle was so lost in her own thoughts she did not see the new wolf approaching her from a distance. She looked up at his first words the lazy languid way he walked as if he didn’t have a care in the world and if he did he wasn’t sharing it. He was larger, his size even rivaled her husbands though she was fairly certain her husband still had him beat in that aspect, but she wasn’t sure not being very good judge of size other than she was small and everyone else was larger than her, even her friend Julooke was larger than she, though Nerian wasn’t they were rather near the same size. She turned blue eyes towards him in amber face and gave him a small smile. It is beautiful, this is the outskirts of the packlands Stavanger Bay. Welcome, and this here is the ocean and coast.

Very interesting. The way the breeze was so intensely revitalizing. No, he'd never experienced a place to beautiful in more than just what he could see with his own eyes. The stark contrast between here and where he came from proved he literally came from the bowls of hell itself.
And, luckily for him, he was graced with the presence of a tiny little female who was pretty as the dickens. Not only pretty but adorable in the way that she was so small and that one single paw that was pure white. Those intensely blue eyes rivaled only by the water that extended on into forever in front of them. He offered her a kindly smirksmile, normally rugged features softening simply because she was there.
Outskirts of a pack, eh? What lucky bastards getting to live here. Always getting to bask in that crisp breeze coming in off the ocean-- he felt electrified just being here now. Would he feel like that if he always lived near the coast? The temptation to find himself his own little spot somewhere down the beach far enough away from this pack was strong. Hell, the temptation to join said pack was strong but he wasn't normally the type to leap before looking.
"Thanks, hon," he returned kindly for her response with a low nod of his head before it was lifted again. He definitely had a relaxed way about him at the moment. This place was heaven. "M'Leon, by the way. Obviously new t'these parts. I grew up n'a place dry as a bone." He was obviously taken by the scenery, but despite that, the tiny petite female had his undivided attention and sharp silver eyes rested easily and friendlily upon her.

Thistle felt this way was beautiful, but seeing as how she grew up in a place much like this. She did not know anything, but this beauty. She had however seen some pretty ugly places, on her way here from home. That first journey had been a hard one, and there were time she had thought about turning back, but she hadn't. And boy was she glad she hadn't, yes she missed her mother, but her life was good for the most part here and now.
The breeze was nice while it was warm now, but one the winter came and the cold breeze came from the north and off the water. It could cut you like a knife, but she wouldn't ruin this moment for him. She was glad he found it so beautiful here.
She smiled kindly You are welcome. She grew quiet again her tail swishing across the ground now, happy to have company. And he was nice to look at, he kind of reminded her of an overgrown puppy with his boyish grins. Well Met Leon, my name is Thistle Cloud. You can call me Thistle, I'm not from these parts originally either. I came here on a whim a few months ago. But my home was much like this.

Silver eyes keenly watched the small female and he returned her sweet smile with a smirk of his own and a slight tilt of his head; ears perked forward to listen for that pretty feminine voice of hers.
"Well met," she would say and gain a deep, raspy chuckle at her proper manner of speech. Though in a way it made him feel honored. Maybe because she was showing respect and though those who tried so hard to be proper as dicks rubbed him the wrong way, when it was done in this manner it was absolutely fine. It was just a calm, casual meeting with a stranger. He needn't worry about being dominated and having to watch his own improper ass so he didn't offend anyone.
"Pleasure t'meet y'Thistle," he returned kindly. Seemed she was relatively new here herself but had herself a nice fancy pack blessed with living on the coast-- she'd even come from a place like this. "Lucky. Must've been nice havin' a homeland like that. How's this pack of yers suitin' y', still able to live in such a nice territory?"

Thistle was glad that this male seemed friendly, he even offered her a smile to match her own. She was not super proper like her mother had been, but she was semi mannerly. She tried at least, that was more than she could say for most.
His laugh was infectious and she returned his chuckle with one of her own. It wasn't often that you found another, who made you laugh just cause they did. Her father had been one, and she would spend hours in peals of laughter because her father's laughter reached in and grabbed you.
Yes i was lucky, my mother found our former home, she was a healer and a midwife and she wanted to live near the forest, and she also wanted the coast. I think that is why i settled here, when i walked here. It was so much like home and I missed my family so much, it made it a little less painful to miss them. The pack suits me fine we are rather territorial, so no one really messes with our territory. She thought that is whta he was asking. His accent was a little different than she was used too, so she could have been completely wrong with her answers.

Even though they had only just met and hadn't been interacting long, Leon was ending up quite enjoying this random encounter. He found himself lucky he'd managed to meet the few awesomely friendly people he'd met who he took a liking to immediately-- Teekon Wilds held a lot of hope for him in finally finding a place to call home, a family, friends... to finally be able to have a good life after years spent searching for that very thing.
She was cute as could be. Calm, sweet, proper... and there was something about her--he wasn't sure what-- that reminded him of someone, or something. Leon listened to her long answer, taking in her words and tucking away bits and pieces of notes that seemed like he might need to remember later. His curiosity grew. She mentioned her mother quite a bit. Maybe she wouldn't mind sharing more details about her rather than her home since that's where his curiosity was leading him.
"Would it be t'much to ask about yer mama? Where are y'guys from and, if it's not t'much t'ask, what's 'er name? His scruffy head was tilted slightly as he looked at her with his interest obviously growing, getting increasingly engrossed in their conversation. He was less interested in the girl's current pack than he was about her past and family. Surely he would be curious about her pack and ask more about that, but that could come later.
"Good t'hear yer pack suits y'fine and y'guys don't get a lotta drama," he said gruffly with a nod of his head. His German lilt slowly began to become somewhat more apparent, perhaps because of the ease in which he was speaking and how relaxed he was-- further proof of how much he took to Thistle. "'Ve never really been a pack guy m'self. Can't remember th'last time I was in one and never stay long n'ways. But the idea was beginning to suit him more and more the longer he spent time here in the Wilds.

just think thistle coulda been leons bahaha :)
Thistle was not used to the rapt attention he brought to the meeting. He seemed genuinely interested in what she had to say, and he was actually listening. It was an interesting dynamic.
Thistle realized she was talking a lot about her mother. She hardly ever did that, she must really miss her. For a moment her insides froze as she realized she was sharing more with this wolf, than she had with her own husband. She wasn't even sure if Ragnar knew her mother and father's names. She shook her head, she didn't know much about his family either so she supposed it was okay.
She smiled Not at all I could talk about my mother all day. She was a healer and a midwife originally of Shearwater bay, she lived elsewhere before that. I was not born in the Salvajes, I was born in the Chinook woods. My mother's name is SpottedFawn and my father is GhostTracker. She had a very rough life before my father, was not treated the best by her first mate. I would't mind getting my paws on that male, i'd make him rue the day. She bowed her head not realizing she was getting a little up in arms and venom was on her every word.
Thistle chuckled Do you think you'll settle to a pack now? She looked at him and listened calmly.
