@Shadow
Leila had had enough of the squirrels! Their chattering in the trees refused to cease, even after she asked them with a whine, to stop, unknowing that they didn't speak wolf, let alone adhere to her pleas. She watched them skitter above in the trees, their playing and frolicking driving her mad. With a grunt, which she attempted to make a growl, the little girl stormed off farther into the woods, trying to get away from the nonsense.
Then she realized she didn't know where she was. Had she ever been this far up? The dainty little femmora cast her blue green eyes about, trying to find a landmark that she recognized, but it was in vain. She didn't even know where to start. It wasn't until she caught the scent of one thing that she stopped her search...another Wolf. One of her. Something she hadnt seen since..since her family's death. Her heart leapt with anticipation, amd she made way straight for the lands, but stopped dead when she reached the border markings. Could she go in? She felt a memory fly past, when another wolf had tried to come close to her mom and dads Den, and all she heard outside the mouth of the cave was snarls, tufflings, whines, whimpers, some kind of wet noise, amd then silence. Her parents had come in, looking a bit ragged, but still there, never the less.
The barely 6 month girl whined a bit from anxiety. She sat down, trying to figure her next move. Maybe, if she called out, anyone near would help her? And maybe...they would have food? She yipped a bit from happiness at such a thought. So with a new goal, Leila sent her little white head up, with a little chorus of barks and yammers that still held the tones of the pup she was.

Was going to wait for more NB wolves to reply first but whatever. Also hope you don't mind if Paar joins. I figured that Shadow would do that immediately anyways.

The new Praetor had been out tirelessly marking the new borders of Noctisardor Bypass when a chorus of barks and yips made him pause in his tracks. It was not the sound of a grown wolf, it was the voice of a pup but what was it doing near his borders? Trust a roman to think about borders and protection even before wondering why a pup was out by himself. But how could he know? After all he had been training to be the perfect warrior since he was able to walk.
Quietly, with silent footsteps, he trotted towards the sound and saw the source of the calls. Okay, now he was confused although it did not show on his features. It was a pup, no a juvenile? He didn't know but it was about six months old. What was it doing here on its own? She was most certainly not a roman so she probably wasn't a battle hardened warrior, more like a simple pup.
His tail swayed as his sterling gaze examined the pup before lifting his head and howling for @Paarthurnax, he needed her help right now. After all, he was pretty sure that alone, he would have just glared at her and the pup would probably start babbling like crazy. "Hey," he murmured softly, his silver gaze warming slightly but still held its iciness. Hopefully Paar would come soon.

( Oh yea nah its cool, Paar can totally join. She volunteered to help influence Leila, anyway. ^-^ And dont ask me why I suddenly threw spanish in Leila. Sorta kinda possibly wanted something Shadow could relate to, a bit, seeing how latin is his language, and they're so closely related. xD)
Leila only lowered her head when she heards a voice out of nowhere, directly infront of her. She was nowhere near ready for the big wolf's appearance, and with a yelp, she almost toppled over.
She heard his voice, and focused on the new goal here. Staying alive.
Leila leapt back to her four dainty little paws, and slowly made her way to the monochromatic wolf before her. She layed her ears back a bit, stubby little fluff tail swishing back and forth as fast as possible for her. She was kind of too scared to get all the way up too him, his size to her alone, intimidated her.
She said quietly, her bell like tones tinted with a bit of her spanish accent, still young.
"Hola, señor... No me vas a comer, ¿verdad?"
Hello Mister... you're not going to eat me, are you?
Only after she spoke did Leila turn her azure mint tinted eyes up to the wolf that stood larger than her own 2 parents did.
She was curious as to where he was from, how old he was, and why he was so huge. It amazed her. Lightly, she took her heart shaped nares, and tapped it in the base of his front paw, trying to learn this giant wolf.

When Shadow's voice rose to request her presence at the borders, Paarthurnax did not hesitate to go. Abandoning her search for the berries she needed for her cache, the crimson beauty turned in the direction the howl had come from, and made her way promptly to the scene.
When her ashen partner appeared in her line of sight, Paar eased her pace and approached him from behind. With an affectionate growl she slunk alongside him, her shoulder brushing his solid flank firmly, and she shot him a curious glance before turning her cinnamon gaze toward the youth at their paws. "What have we here?" Paarthurnax said rhetorically, her expression gentle and her voice soft.

"Hola, señor... No me vas a comer, ¿verdad?" Did she speak English? He gazed at her as she tapped her nares on his paws. Gently, he moved his paws away from her and spoke “Numquid Latine loqui?" Apparently her speaking in the other language triggered him to speak in latin. He nosed Paar's scruff gently when she arrived before turning back to the youth.
"Do you speak English?" he asked her softly with a slight tilt of his head. Perhaps Paar could take over this now, if the youth did anything that was weird. He was better with full grown adult wolves, not pups that were not his own.

A smaller wolf with a much brighter coat, like that of the warm Hot in the sky, with eyes to match, came to side to side with the huge guy wolf. She looked much less intimidating, yet much larger that Leila, non the less. Walking with the fluid grace of a panther, the lady wolf siddled next to the guy wolf. Were they a mom and a dad? They looked much at happiness with each other.
"Hola, señora..mi llama es Leila..."
The little fae heard the guy wolf speak.
"Do you speak english?"
She shivered at her second language, one she knew she did not excell at. After all, it was her fathers language, and he did not stay much, only to feed the family and protect the den.
She released a light whimper, having a feeling in her tummy that her answer would give him no happy feeling.
"Sí, pero..yes, but I not good at," she remembered the term he gave to her of the language. "english."
She slunk her tender, soft empty white belly to the ground, and within the moment she did, it rumbled its anger at her not filling it.
To give her a smidge of modesty at the sound, she tried to pretend it never happened, and hoped the two wolves could not have heard it.

Paarthurnax waited patiently for a response to the question that Shadow asked the young female, her gentle copper eyes never straying from her little frame. She studied the girl's unusual colouring: stark white, marked by patches of bold ebony. The crimson beauty had thoughts she herself had been an unusual creature, but this juvenile certainly outshone her on that front with her mottled pattern and unknown language.
Curiously, Paar twitched her nose and sensed her partner's awkwardness, though was more than happy to take the reins of the situation. She lowered to her haunches before the youth, dipping her head to be closer to her level. "I'm Paar," she said softly, gesturing briefly to her ashen companion, "and this is Shadow. Why are you out here, all by yourself?"

"and this is Shadow. Why are you out here, all by yourself?" If she was a Roman, that question would be easily answered. She had been kicked out because of how she acted so innocent and her lack of discipline. Or she just wanted to leave the life of a roman but she was most definitely not a roman, so what was her story? He waited quietly for her answer, his tail twitching as he did so. He was never known for his patience.
"And what is your name?" he said softly although his voice was the tone he always used with newcomers. Besides he could turn her away any minute now, actually any second. It was only by his own choice that this puppy was alive at the moment. She was not the child of any of his pack-mates or himself, just an outsider and an outsider to the roman was any wolf, puppy, juvenile, adult that did not belong in his pack and this juvenile/puppy was an outsider as far as he was concerned.

The lady wolf before her bore no scent of threat, nor did her body language hint at any hostility. This gave Leila a bit of ease, and with less fear, she spoke a bit easier.
To the sun touched female, Leila said in her bell-like tones, referring to not omly her, but the the big male wolf as well, though she was too intimidated by him, and not wanting to lose her Not Scared-ness.
"Mi..name, es..Leila,..and mi madre, and ...papi," Leila looked for a word that signified 'dead' without saying 'muertos'
"not breath."
"I,..alone. No veo any ...wolf when mami y papi not breath. I try find more wolfs.", the little girl spoke as best she could with the second language.
Glancing between the two massive wolves before her, Leila deeply hoped they didn't eat her. In her fear, she even forgot her hunger.

To hear that the girl's family were no longer alive gripped Paarthurnax' heart, and she whined softly to herself. Her brow furrowed with concern and she looked down on the crouching juvenile with solemn copper eyes. What horrors had she seen? She could not imagine to lose her beloved parents at such a tender age, and pity brimmed for the youth as she continued to struggle with her words.
Pleadingly, she turned her sad doe eyes upon her partner. Surely he could not be considering leaving Leila on her own, when they were more than capable to provide the shelter, food and guidance she obviously needed.

So the juvenile's parents were dead, and he didn't really feel any pity for her for his own parents never really cared for himself. In fact, he felt that if his own parents died, his life would be so much better. He felt as if this Juvenile would survive better alone where she would learn the essentials of life alone and become strong. Romans were brought up to be strong and to respect only strength and not weakness and so far this juvenile was showing nothing but weakness.
But when Paar turned to look at him with those eyes, he sighed softly. He supposed it wasn't the juvenile's fault that she wasn't a Roman and that she did not posses the skills that a child of Rome would have. But if she was accepted, she needed to prove herself and complete her duties. After all she was no longer a puppy and he expected everyone that wasn't under the age of six months old to do their part in his pack. And he was being nice. Or at least nice to the pups.
He crouched down and nuzzled his partner's scruff before turning his cool platinum gaze onto the Juvenile and spoke in his trademark soft tone. "Leila, you are welcome to stay with us if you wish however you are expected to fulfil your duties in the pack as I do not tolerate slackers, even for one as young as yourself. You are no longer a puppy and while we might provide guidance for you, you must forge your own path."
He glanced over at Paar for a brief moment. "Also, I will teach you the common language here so you will be able to communicate with others fluently. But that is if you wish to be with us, minimus.

After she had told the two huge wolves her story, the sun draped lady wolf sent a look to the guy wolf. Paar had used a look Leila recognized from her den-times. It was one her siblings used to get what they wanted from the parent wolves. Sometimes it worked, ... Other times they were nipped or given a warning growl, to get them to stop.
Apparently Shadow relented.
Oh such nostalgia.
"Leila, you are welcome to stay with us if you wish however you are expected to fulfil your duties in the pack as I do not tolerate slackers, even for one as young as yourself. You are no longer a puppy and while we might provide guidance for you, you must forge your own path."
Leila almost couldn't contain her happy! She wanted to do her back flip, but she was scared she would possibly land on her face. She rather not be hungry AND dirty.
Instead, she arched her little neck, and sent the two massive wolves a nod that she hoped sufficed.
Leila didn't know how to thank them in English.
The guy wolf sent the girl wolf a swift look before addressing her again.
"Also, I will teach you the common language here so you will be able to communicate with others fluently. But that is if you wish to be with us, minimus."
"I happy to ..be..con you y Paar. I happy to english!"yipped the excited 6 month old pup.
Leila did want to learn English. More so to know what her dad knew. She gladly accepted.

Paarthurnax' puppy dog eyes lit up at Shadow's response, and her tail lashed happily at her hindquarters. She'd never had forgiven herself if this child had been cast out into unknown territory by herself; Leila had been lucky to survive mere days, she felt. Food was plentiful in Noctisardor Bypass and they had plenty of space, so the very least they could do was give her a chance.
Appreciative, the lithe Frostfur reached up to nuzzle affectionately at the base of a sterling lobe before turning her attention back to their newest member of the pack. "Come," Paarthurnax beckoned softly, stepping aside to turn and look over her slim shoulder to chuff at her companions in encouragement to follow. "You must be hungry."

Going to archive this, :)
He smiled faintly at the pup's response and nudged her encouragingly to follow, to him the lives of children meant much more than the lives of adults and strangers and trespassers for they were still young and had a lot of growing to do. Besides adults knew more knowledge than children and they should know to never trespass, especially on a Roman pack's lands. He would need to host a pack meeting soon so the wolves of the Bypass would understand the rules of a Roman Pack because they were obviously different from normal ones.
He turned to follow Paarthurnax, he was sure that with the right teaching, Leila could become an asset to the pack, if she chose to stay that is.
But...But I trusted you...

( Last post from me)
"¡Si! Tengo hombre!" The little girl yipped at the word of the female named Paar. With happiness evident on her little petit face, she daintily followed the graceful sun wolf, grateful for the proposition posed to her by the older ones. The moment she learned how to thank them in 'english',
That would be the first thing she'd do.
