_The nightmares woke her - someone was whispering her name, ever so gently. "Lai... Lorelai..." they whispered. She lifted her head, looking blearily about. That was when she saw him - finally, Luka had found her. She jumped up from her den, leaving Avery behind as she rushed after the hallucination that was her brother. He led her far from the den, but she didn't care - she'd follow him anywhere._

He had followed their scents - more particularly, he had tracked Avery's scent. When he found the den they slept in, he waited - and eventually, a female left. More particularly, he smelled her heat scent. Vorilye licked his lips, then followed her at a distance. When she stopped, and begun speaking to some unknown person, Vorilye stepped forward.

Lorelai, so deep in her episode, could not tell that the stranger before her was not, in fact, Luka. She grinned at him, wagging her tail. "I missed you," she whined, taking a step closer to him. "Why did you leave me?" She could feel her body positively aching for him, but she didn't realize what was happening. She was in heat - everything in her craved him.

Vorilye was smart enough to understand that this woman was not in her right mind. He smiled, a horrible, knowing grin. If she ran with Avery, she ran with Violante. And he had just the right idea on how to ruin what future his sister and her mate might try to find here. "I've missed you more," he crooned sinisterly, edging closer. She allowed him to fully enter her space. He nibbled at her ear, the nape of her neck; she whimpered, moving closer. "I'm here now."

Vorilye was able to take exactly he wanted from her, and when he was done, he tore a chunk from her right upper ear. "Welcome to the family." he hissed. She would return to Avery, battered and bloody, but happy - if insane. She would bear the marks of the Cruors - and, with time, his whelps. Vorilye slunk off into the shadows, ready to report back to his queen.

Lorelai could not tell if this was reality, or dreams - but when Vorilye left her on her own in the cold, she came to. Her ear burned as blood ran from it, caking her fur in crimson. She retraced her steps, and ended up back at the dens; here, she would wait for Avery to wake up, so she might recount what had happened. She wouldn't remember much, at least for now, but Vorilye's scent would remain, clinging to her fur; Avery would know.
