HOEKEY
They moved in unison, as they always had. Step by step, stride for stride, they matched one another. They looked more like lumbering bears than prowling wolves, unnatural for the season given the bears had taken to their winter hovels. Night had fallen, and the two dark figures were masked by the darkness. Snow had yet to fall, but judging by winters nip it soon would.
The alpha female paused to inhale the crisp air. Her furs were thickening, and she was content in the forests atmosphere. It was clear and open despite the trees that littered their path; she remembered Unalaq Forest and its perpetual fog, just as well as she did its lightless depths. By now, the scent of the previous pack was gone. Tonravik licked her chops, eager to stake her claim upon these lands already. But there was more to do, first. She looks to Kaniq, curious to his own thoughts on the place.
