A few feet (10+) from the borders. Kaname wants to know why you guys are in his old home. :P
He liked to return to Silvertip sometimes, for old nostalgia's sake. The Beta roamed around there, peeking into his old den, revisiting the pack's main halls, hunting whenever he saw something juicy there. But on his most recent visit, he found something different.
Smelled is a better word.
There was a pack on Silvertip again.
The Beta raised an eyebrow as he scented the borders, but danced back a bit afterwards. Was it Mara's? He wondered if the little bitch had taken Silvertip to mock Cara and him, as well as whoever remained from the original pack. But he did not smell her scent anywhere, which was a relief.
But there was something about this new pack's presence that made him feel like something had been taken from him. While they no longer held dominion over the mountain, it was still the location of his first pack in Teekon, where he had so many memories. If he had never come here, then he would never be Beta. He would never have met Cara.
It frustrated him that someone would take his old home, enemy or not. At least they didn't steal it, for any pack had rightful claim over the land if they could defend it. But it felt as if they had stolen something from him regardless. That had made the dark Beta upset.

After a lot of thinking, the tri-colored girl had decided that since she patrolled almost every single day, multiple times a day, that she would put it to a trade. This day was like no other, she was on her second patrol trip when she picked up the scent of another. Unlike the first unwelcome scent she had found that day, this one did not cross the border. It simple wafted from an area up ahead.
She quickly padded to the area the scent was coming from and she found a wolf standing a little ways from the border, a sort of glare fixed on his face. He was dark brown and as she got closer she could see he had bright blue eyes. While her stance was completely unaggressive, it wasn't anywhere near friendly either.
"Can I help you?" she asked, studying him for any signs of aggression.

It's me, Gaiban From Oc. Tempers will flare this day. Shadow Posted. Fixed.
Copper was finishing his fifth border patrol for the day, when he saw something odd. A Blue eyed male was sitting a few yards from the border. This made Copper edgy. This damned creature was getting his scent all over the infamous mountain protector's borders. His borders. This was unacceptable.
After the run in with the wannabe dogs, Copper wasn't in a real singsong mood.
"The Hell are you?" Copper stared at the dog, not aggressively, but more tired. It was then that he saw Raissa dealing with it. He sat about three feet from her, calming himself down.
He didn't need more of this shit. If the dog meant him or his pack harm, he would kill the creature. Kill on sight, that was how Copper was now. It was difficult helping get a pack going.

His presence did not go unnoticed. Within a few moments, two wolves came, questioning him on sight. He had cocked an eyebrow at the male, annoyed by his tone, but he focused his gaze on the multicolored southern woman instead.
"Yes, I guess you could." he said, his frozen gaze matching her own firey one. "I'm Kaname, the Beta of a neighboring pack, Ouroboros Spine, previous inhabitants and claimants of Silvertip Mountain." He looked up wistfully at the peak for a brief moment before he looked back down at the female. "I was curious as to who moved into my old home. That's all."

He didn't show any means to attack, though he did give Copper a curious look. She herself shot him a quick glance that said "We're going to talk about this later." She turned her gaze back to the ice-eyed wolf that claimed to be the beta of a pack that used to live on silver tip. Every now and then she had caught stale whiffs of wolves from a while back. She had originally assumed the scents to be from loners that had passed through, but now she realized that they were those of an old pack.
She kept her expression completely neutral as she gave him a curt response. "Well now you know." she spoke with a emotionless voice. She didn't like it when there were other pack wolves hanging around their borders.

Copper backed down a bit when the tri-colored wolfess shot him a slight grimace. He didn't want to get on her bad side. Besides, the wolf was only looking at his old home, and he could respect that. He oolay wished he could go back home. But the thought was quickly pushed away, as the sappy thought crossed his mind. This is your home now. Copper said, in a tinkly fairytale voice.
"So, what brings you here?" Copper asked, trying to relieve the tension he had created. He didn't want the dark-male to hate him. He suddenly smelled the scent of a female on the wolf. A pedo-grin spread across his face. He shook his head to bring him back to reality. This wolf was probably the dark-wolf's mate.
He could only imagine the wolf. Her beautiful soft fur, her eyes. He stared off into space. He was just a horny teen. He was sexually mature now though.

His attention darted from the titian eyed female to the younger, reckless looking male. The glacier-toned eyes froze more as they observed the horny grin on his face. Obviously, he had gotten a whiff of Cara's scent, and was fantasizing about her right now. He kept that topic to the side, and addressed his first comment instead. "As I said, I was just curious, and came here to take a look." His voice feigned disinterest, but was quite annoyed by the young wolf's look. "But I suppose I can just leave, and get back to my mate and pack, and leave you all well alone." He emphasis of 'my' was said with a chilling look at the male.

Even though Copper's words and look had been a little out of hand, she still didn't like the way the dark wolf glared at him. He was on their borders, outnumbered two to one and he still had the nerve to glare so harshly at the yearling. Her gaze snapped from Copper to the blue eyes stranger, her eyes narrowing.
"Maybe that is a good idea. After all, now you know what's become of your old home. Sounds like you have no other business here." she spoke in a voice that was quite, but filled with a deadly calm. She didn't like having a rival wolf so close to their borders, glaring at her members. It gave her an uncomfortable itch in her fur and the sooner he was gone, the sooner she could address Copper's behavior.
