Through thick and thin the female traveled on. Her head hung low, breathing in the scent of a pack's borders. A calm breeze blew through her fur and towards the claimed territory. She knew it would only be a matter of time before the wolves who lived here came to confront her. She sat firmly on the ground after backing away a few feet from the borders. Tilting her head slightly, golden eyes pierced through the territory trying to spot any movement.

Nothing.

Silence swept over the girl and not a single sound could be heard. A wicked grin formed on her face as she watched with utter amusement. This place reminded her of her home, and after a brief moment of thinking she lifted her head and howled for the learders here. With the breeze carrying her scent through the territory she had a feeling they were already on the way. Hopefully now that she howled they would approach with a more reasonable posture, and not mistake her for an intruder.

Slight location power play of @Saena to get this started! If you want me to change anything, shoot me a message!

The days that followed Reek's claiming of the waterfall as the site of his new home-base and his subsequent promotion to Alpha-hood had become one big intimate blur of awesome with his lover Saena.  He rarely left the area around his new home and his mood took a definite upswing from what it had been a week ago... happy Reek was back in action and it was all because of their burgeoning relationship. While he tried to give Saena enough space to do what she wanted so he would seem so smother-y, he found himself spending time with her more often than naught.  But, to Reek, the more time spent together, the better.

Afternoon naps had always been a staple part of Reek's day and they were something he desperately wanted to share with Saena. Because, who doesn't love nap-time?  Unfortunately, Reek's short nap was cut short by a howl from the border. "We've got a visitor," he rumbled tiredly while gently nudging Saena's neck with his nose to rouse her from her sleep.  "You coming?"

He rose to shakey legs and beckoned for her to follow before passing though the waterfall and completely soaking his fur.  Reek shook himself dry to the best of his abilities once he reached the shore and set off in the direction of the howl.  At the border sat a strong looking agouti wolf, posture low and neutral.  Reek approached with tail held high and waiving gently at his back.  "You rang?"

"Mmmm?" Saena voiced, roused from an ever-deepening sleep by a nudge to the side of her neck. Her eyes opened just a crack to see Reek—a sight that always made her heart skip a beat, at least lately—already rousing himself. He stirred beside her and she reached out a muddy paw, planted it square against his face and groaned, "nooo." Napping at midday was one of Saena's staple routines and he was disrupting it, damnit!

But she knew she had to go. Even though she laid there a minute longer like a lump, the Redtail eventually blinked back the brightness of the day and followed him out into the waterfall that curtained their new home. While getting soaked immediately after a nap was not exactly the alpha female's favourite thing to do, the cold water did serve to wake her up. In fact, she emerged on the shore sputtering and gasping from the temperature shock. Before she could even finish shaking off, the new crowned alpha male was heading to the borders, leaving his young beau to follow him at a brisk pace.

Their visitor was a wolf who was both compact and powerful. Saena could tell that immediately from her appearance. Ivy was a little taller than she, and muscular where the alpha was femininely curved. Reek was far more composed and awake by now than his fellow leader, who murmured a groggy, "hullo," while trying very hard not to yawn in the lone wolf's face. She did shake her head and stand up straighter, and even managed to ask, "how're you?" before her body began to sag sleepily once again.

Arion had arrived at the scene way before Reek and Saena arrived to confront the stranger by the borders. He had taken a break from patrolling and hidden himself in the shadows where no one could see him as he observed his surroundings silently. It wasn't long before the female arrived, thank the gods the wind had been in his favor and while it brought him the scent of the stranger, it did not betray his own.

She was way too close to the borders in his opinion, and he was itching to chase her away but he paused and waited to see if she was just lingering for no reason or if she wanted to join. After all, he was pretty sure Saena and Reek would not be pleased with him if he accidentally chased off a potential member, especially with their dwindling numbers. They needed new wolves, loyal wolves, strong wolves more than ever. And by the looks of it, this female could be useful to the pack.

Arion was about to emerge from his hiding spot and confront her when she tilted his head and howled for the leaders. Great. He would wait until they arrived and then show himself just for the fun of it.

Reek and Saena arrived together, though by the looks of it, the Alpha Female was still groggy from a nap, not the best way to greet a stranger, but he supposed it was probably better than not showing up at all. After waiting for a moment, Arion walked forward, his posture signifying his rank as a Gamma, the highest ranking wolf of the subordinates. He stopped right beside his leaders and observed the scene quietly and stoically, emotionless golden eyes were fixed firmly and cooly on the agouti female.

The stallion would remain silent and still for now, letting his leaders do their work, but if she made one wrong step, Arion wouldn't hesitate to chase her off with her tail between her legs.
