This is for Ayana's spy mission. Maybe someone wants her to give her some tips on how to control the borders?

It was summer but the weather was perfect for Ayana. The female strolled around the territry, thinking about her lesson with Burke and the two females. She breathed in the warm air, her paws were muddy from the water the storm had brought to Blackfeather. Suddenly Ayana picked up the scent of a wolf. She stopped and listened. Silence. The scent wasn't strong, must have been an old one but she still decided to check the borders of Blackfeather. Maybe this was her chance to let out some agressiveness, she thought. It had been a long time since she killed something tallker than a rabbit and her mind was aching for blood. Calm down, girl friend. You'll never kill anything again. Your time is gone.

Ayana trotted around the borders of Blackfeather, marked with Burke's scent. However, there was something else in the air that disturbed her, it wasn't the scent of a Blackfeather member. She growled a little. Was there yet another wolf that wanted to join? She was rather new herself but she didn't like how many wolves joined the pack recently. Maybe it was because of Lusa's pups that were missing. The pack had enough to worry about, in Ayana's opinion.

The golden wolf let out a small howl to inform someone of the pack about her position and waited. She needed another opinion on the strange scent and also hoped that someone would lecture her about how to defend the borders. She really needed some training in becoming a spy and she did not want to wait until Burke would arrange another lesson.

After being accepted, Nemesis felt the urge roam the territory, to feel every part of the grounds underneath her paws. It was like time had just flown by since she escaped from the holds of her last pack. And that gave her a sense of pride, that she could make it on her own. They had always told her she wouldn't last one night without their protection. They would regret that.

She ran, changing her direction to the borders, hoping to find at leased a rabbit to fill her growling stomach. She hadn't eaten anything since she had arrived at the borders, a little while ago. All the excitement and nerves had dulled the feeling of aching hunger. She lifted her nose to the air, trying to catch the scent of something nearby. Her nose twitched, smelling something new..another wolf. Not a minute later did she hear the call of another pack mate, signalling their position.
Her feet picked up, running to meet the call. She had no expectations of the fellow wolf, she knew that normal wolves could find comfort here too, in the dark forest. It wasn't only for the evil and bloodthirsty.

She stopped, looking around. The scent was strong but she couldn't see anyone. Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw something..

Just a few moments after she howled for a fellow pack mate, she heard paws running across the soft wooden floor. But the scent this wolf had wasn't one she knew. Maybe Damien? She had never encountered him properly before, so she didn't have the chance to pick up his scent. Ayana decided to stay hidden behind some bushes to make sure the wolf that came closer was no enemy. Some minutes later, the wolf had appeared. It was a female, Ayana could tell by her scent. Well good job, now you're stuck in the middle of a forest with another female. Woohooo! She shook her head to ignore the thoughts rushing through her head. Actually, Ayana liked meeting new wolves.
Time to play.

Ayana stepped out of the shadows. She raised her tail and narrowed her eyes a little.
"My name is Ayana. I am from Blackfeather. What exactly are you doing here?", she said, staring at the female's eyes. Ayana came across quite rude, but it was her way of making sure she got the respect she deserved. There was only space for one crazy bi*ch in this forest. And that was definitely her. Yea, what if she's really nice tho? Probably scared her off. Poor little dear. Ayana never knew her mind had a positive side about it. Or did it simply always say the opposite of what she was doing? She rolled her eyes and waited for a reply.

Suddenly the wind blew in her direction and her nose picked up the strange scent again. But it wasn't the female she smelled, there must be another wolf. The two girls were not alone. "Doesn't matter who you are, you smell of Blackfeather so I guess you're a new one.", she said. She couldn't wait for a reply because the scent was getting stronger. "Do you smell that? This is the scent of another wolf, right?", Ayana said, now letting the female pick up the scent aswell.

Maybe we could Powerplay another wolf, so act like there was someone there and we scare him off? Any other ideas? xx

Nemesis had mixed feelings about this female. By the tone of her voice, she had little respect for Nemesis. If a challenge was what the female wanted, she would get one. But for now, Nemesis had to play it low. It hadn't been quite a while since joining Blackfeather and Burke had already asked about her interest in the Brotherhood. She wouldn't do anything to screw it up. But then again, Nemesis could see the determination in the female's eyes, and that was something she could get along with. Maybe.

Nemesis, stood her ground, answering the female with her usual sense of authority. "I am Nemesis", she said ignoring the fact the the she-wolf had skipped introductions. She raised her nose just bit to catch the wind. Sure enough, among the scent of the forest was a different one. Another wolf. "You are correct. Perhaps a trespasser. We should investigate" She replied, hinting what she really meant. If it turned out to be a scrawny lone wolf, what was stopping her from unleashing her fury against something that couldn't fight back? What was unrighteous about speeding up the life span of a creature destined to die a lowly death? Oh that's right, nothing. It was a favor.

Why did Ayana have the feeling that this girl was more of a competition than she expected? Was there another Queen in the woods now? Despite Ayana's order, the girl wasn't reluctant to tell her her name, Nemesis. Not bad, Ayana thought. No friendship. Although, maybe this girl could help you freshen up your manipulative skills. She seems like fun. This was going to be interesting.

Ayana smiled at the female picking up the scent aswell. Of course she was right, there was another wolf. But why? What did a loner want at the borders? Every wolf is a potential threat and Ayana wasn't sure whether she would let the wolf explain, especially not if she did not like his appearance. "I'm going to check the borders. I could sure use some help, though. Let's hope this is not someone trying to steal our prey. After the storm the deers are gone and not even ravens are left at Red Grove. I won't let a stranger steal my dinner. Let's go.", Ayana said. She ran off, not waiting for the female, although she secretly really hoped she would join her little mission. Good girl. You can never have enough minions! But the golden wolf had the feeling that the black female was more than a little helper. They actually seemed to have a lot in common.

Ayana locked the scent as if it was prey and chased it as quickly as she could. She knew that her stamina wasn't the best, but her days as lone wolf paid off now, she had times when walking was all she did for days and nights on end. When she got closer to the scent, Ayana slowed down a little. She made sure to stay hidden behind the bushes adnd wait for Nemesis to arrive. The wind was doing the two females a favour, the scent of the stranger was intense and their own scents weren't carried in his or hers direction. Ayana felt the adrenaline crawling up inside her body, it felt like that one time she accidently slept on an ant nest. Her heard was racing, but she stayed calm on the outside. They needed to make a good first impression to scare the stranger off. Nobody was allowed to get this close to the borders and Burke had just recently made sure the borders were easy to tell.

Nemesis smirked, she had gotten her message through. But when Ayana had taken off, expecting Nemesis to follow her, she had the feeling that Ayana would enjoy her running after her. No matter, I want food. Her mind seemed to speak out.
Lifting her nose to the air, she latched onto the scent, surging up ahead to meet Ayana. She actually liked running beside another. It felt powerful, that whatever they were running to would shake in their skin at the sight of them.
But she had the feeling that she and Ayana had more in common than she she knows, but it wasn't like she was prepared to have a sit down and tell her life story and Ayana the same. Everyone it seemed, in Blackfeather had their own past horrors. She was sure she wasn't the only one.

Nemesis slowed her pace, the adrenaline still surging through her veins. The intruder was just up ahead. She went up ahead but not too far and waited for Ayana to follow her, even though she knew the female would be less enthusiastic to comply. Nemesis just wanted her food and the trespasser off her territory. The wind was on their side, and their scents did not carry on the wind. She glanced at Ayana who looked focused but calm. She had the right idea. Sloppiness could not be affordable right now. Not if she wanted to have any fun with the trespasser. Looking at Ayana she waited for a signal to advance, knowing fully that this was not her hunt but Ayana's. It had been her idea. And she would respect that, no matter how hard it was.

Ayana smiled when she heard Nemesis running behind her. She knew she would follow her. It felt good to lead another wolf and maybe this was exactly what Ayana needed right now. Another wolf to listen to her. A minion. She growled a little and still smiled. Suddenly Nemesis came closer and eventually ran infront of her. Ayana was not pleased, but she did not care too much. Let her think she can shine too. Who cares?

The two females stopped behind a few bushes and Ayana turned to Nemesis, who blended in with the shadows perfectly. "There he is. I can't believe it. Well, let's scare the sh*t out of him. Go as far as you want, I don't care.", Ayana said and focussed on the stranger. He wasn't too big and had a brown coat. Just a random stranger that came too close to the borders. He would be easy to kill and Ayana would Nemesis do that if she wanted to. The golden female was not here to kill. She would watch Nemesis and maybe learn something about strategy. She would have to kill a loner soon, so she wanted to be prepared.

Ayana stepped out into the daylight. The loner saw her, she was not very tall either, but she scared him. He opened his mouth, maybe he wanted to say something but Ayana's loud growling did not give him a chance to explain himself. He was a male, but rather weak and skinny for his gender. He must have been a lone wolf for a while. Ayana made sure he did not carry Blackfeather's scent, he was definitely a stranger. And Ayana was not in the mood to hear him or his concerns out. He had to leave. It was time to let Ayana's dark side out.

The brown wolf pulled his tail in between his hind legs and made sounds like a newborn pup. "I'm sorry, I ...", he said, but none of the females cared about his words. Ayana jumped forward and pulled her muzzle back, her white teeth were showing. She let out a loud growl and jumped onto the stranger, her teeth slided into his coat and skin like in butter. She pulled her teeth out again and waited for Nemesis to do her action.

Nemesis didn't hesitate to lunge at the skinny, lame excuse of a wolf. Whoever he was, and emphasis on was, he should have known better. Nobody trespassed on the superior pack. And nobody left unscathed.

She sank her teeth into the flesh of the male, not noticing the pitiful cries of agony it gave out.  She had it by the soft flesh of his neck, a vulnerable spot for him to be in. Now he was a puppet on a string, having to painfully be pushed around to her enjoyment. Pulling him down, she raked her razor sharp nails at his stomach. The cries only grew louder, but she didn't care. This was no longer about a simple meal being stolen. It was something much deeper, a feeling in her gut that was growing and growing, like a monster breaking free of its metal cage. And once a monster was let loose, there would be no stopping it. The more red she seen, the hungrier she got for the screams and pleads. It was her equivalent to sunny days and long walks on the beach.
But she wasn't sloppy with her work, she knew better than that. If you want to torture, you've got to do it right. She bit into the soft spot of his ear, having just enough room to scrape at his hind legs, and eventually giving one heavy blown kick, snapping the bone right out of the flesh. The scars on this one would doom him from society. She had no pity.

But she stopped. Panting, she stepped back from the bloody mess. You could hardly tell that it was a wolf anymore. But that's the way she wanted it. To suffer for the rest of it's pitiful life was a much better punishment. She easily could have administered the death bite to the back of the neck, but she chose not to, not out of mercy.

There was no mercy left for her to give. No more.

She turned to Ayana, once again noticing the female. "It shall suffer, a better punishment. I hope you got the food. I'm starving" she said, not taking notice to the whimpers and painful cries of the broken male, whose breath was now labouring. Soon, he would die, but for now he would suffer.

The golden female watched her fellow packmate do her business. Her sharp teeth were gliding into the wolve's flesh and his cries for help sounded distorted from the pain and if Ayana could, she would try to close up her ears to block the screams. It was weird, but something inside her made her reluctant to kill, and now it even made her feel horrendous about watching a wolf suffering like this. What if he was to deliver information about Lusa's missing pups? No, this was absurd. This wolf was not from here, he was a stranger, probably not even from Teekon Wilds. Still, something made her want to help this male. For goodness' sake, Ayana. Forget about him, he is just one in a million wolves that get killed every year. It is impossible. You have developed so many feelings it's disgusting.

Ayana was still staring at Nemesis when she stopped torturing the male. She wanted to leave him suffering, she said it was worse than killing him straight away. Ayana twiched a little when Nemesis spoke out these words. The dark female said this as if she talked about a deer she killed, but this was a wolf. He was an idividual and he had a soul. Leaving him there to bleed to death was cruel, and she did not expect Nemesis to be this way. It scared her. This girl is just like you. You're just scared because she is like the mirror of your soul. I know that deep inside of you you do not care one bit about that stranger. He is random, he means nothing, he IS nothing. Her mind was screaming and Ayana started to panick inside of her, while remaining perfectly calm on the outside. Nemesis was waiting for an answer. "Do whatever you want with him.", she said, looking away. She could not stand watching the male anymore, it was all too much. Especially because it was her fault. If she did not... Stop. Nemesis is hungry and you'll find her something to eat.

Finally, Ayana explained Nemesis where to find food around here. After the storm is was hard to hunt, but she knew a place where a lot of deers were hiding. The female explained to Nemesis that in only five minutes she would be able to hunt a deer and eat as much as she wanted. Something inside her made Ayana want to stay and take care of the male, but she was no healer and staying would just mean watching how the wolf died, which she did not want. So she waited for Nemesis reply. Whatever the female would do, Ayana would proably follow.

Nemesis was satisfied to hear that there were still some deer left hiding, and that Ayana knew where they were. But the look in the girl's eyes after Nemesis turned to her was more frightening than she had ever imagined. Nemesis figured that after that little torture scene, Ayana would be at least a little disgusted. But when Nemesis looked into her eyes, it was like she was seeing pure..terror.
It may have just been her, but it was like she had tormented Ayana too. Looking back, she stared at the bloody mess, the wolf's breathing had slowed dramatically.' Maybe you should just have ended it now, he didn't do anything to you' A voice, emerged from the darkness of her mind, spoke. 'He is a soul too, a-' No. She couldn't afford to think like that. It's what broke her in the first place.

Turning her attention back to Ayana, gave the female a short look. "The damage is done, Ayana. That is the only way we survive", she said, indicating the male behind her, who was now just barely breathing. "End him if you want, it's your choice" She again spoke, challenging the female. She knew that Ayana would be reluctant to do do so, but she gave her the choice anyways, wanting to see how far she would go. "Meet me up ahead, we can find the deer from there" She said, noticing a small stream just ahead, where she could wash the grime from her muzzle before she ate. She would not have the blood of her victim on her food. That would be highly unsanitary.
