Andrei walked for some time. He had in his two years of life never really been on his own. He wondered where he was, after all this traveling, he tried to call for his pack, but no one had come, no one even responded.  It made him uneasy. He wasn't scared, he knew how to defend himself, but  he was a social creature, and he worried about his family. He walked and walked, without real purpose. He needed someone to tell him where he was , where he could head to. It was not really advised of course, not every pack was ready to help, but he needed help.

He had avoided other packs stronger scent, foolishly going with his instinct that it wasn't made for him, until he reached a path, a heavily marked path. It seemed a weird pattern for a border, but he went with it.  Howling for the alpha to come, he hoped that he was not making a mistake by doing so.

Scarlett was close to the boulder path since the female had been on the look out for smaller creatures to eat in the fields before hearing the howl of a stranger. It seemed that news was finally traveling around about their pack. It only took more than five months to accomplish that. Maybe this one hadn't even heard about their pack, could be. The red eyed female trotted towards the boulder path that lead to the top, and out of the valley. The beginning of this path they marked heavily instead of having to mark a whole territory. The steep walls around the valley did that for them.

Scarlett jumped on top of a boulder, squinting her red eyes to see who was at their doorstep. The elegant little female then trotted forward, approaching the white stranger. Her tail was rather neutral, the tip slightly up. Her ears pointed forward as she stopped behind the line they marked as not to cross. "You called," she stated the obvious. Her voice sounded warm and kind, her whole body posture didn't look too intimidating. Her fur smelled of her babies, and of the lush grounds that was provided by the valley.

The male didn't have to wait long until he saw someone appear. A female, all white with bright red eyes.  He licked his snout. Here goes nothing, he thought to himself and trotted to meet her.  He stopped in front of her and frowned slightly at what she said. Okay, he had never heard that language in his entire life. He had no idea what she just said.  Maybe hello ? "Alo."  he replied. If he would have hands, would he scratch his head right now. He could not simply remain silent.  Maybe this was just a neighbor language and she would understand him. Maybe. He had not communicated with anyone since he had been freed here.  "Poți să-mi spui unde sunt"  (Can you tell me where I am)  He asked her.  He really needed to know where he was, to know what to make of all of this.  He was not of a scared nature, but he did felt lost and alone, two feelings he rather not been feeling at all.

"Am fost trimis aici și - nu înțelegi un cuvânt ce spun"   (I've been sent here and  - you don't understand a word  I'm saying)   He went forth and then sighed when he saw the expression on her face.  That clueless wtf is he saying expression that one just could not hide. His ears went back then perked up again.  His head bent towards him.  "Andrei"  he stated, hoping she would get it.

Scarlett was surprised with a tongue she didn't understand. Was it inuit? Like Kove spoke and learned her children. It didn't sound like it. She slowly frowned deeper and deeper. His disposition stayed kind though. The sigh made her think he was frustrated with that she couldn't understand, or at least, giving up. Her ears moved forward. "Andrei?," she repeated. That was probably his name right? She smiled friendly matter. "Scarlett," she returned, that this was her name. She then pointed her muzzle to the view of the valley. "Bearclaw Valley," she introduced. She then raised her tail and head to let him know she was one of the leading females. It was clear for him without using too much complicated words.

Her tail had a gently saw behind her, she hoped that it would make him a bit more relaxed. This was also and amazing practice for her since she needed to show her rank more naturally instead of saying. She had been a beta for a while now. She needed to also carry her body that way.

"Scarlett" he repeated and smiled as a way to say nice to meet you. The wolf then looked around. He understood valley because it was like the Romanian word. "Bar....cl..."he tried to say it but had forgotten how she said it. "repeta" he asked and showed and tapped the gound."Vă rog" (please) he added although he was not sure this would help. He looked at her then, her posture must have meant that she was a higher ranked wolf. Keeping his head lower and waving his tail slowly he took a step forward.  His ears went down and his brought his snout to hers. He was greeting her like in a friendly matter then took a step back

Scarlett gave a quick nod that he got her name right. She watched as he tapped the ground and spoke a word that sounded familiar. "Repeat?," she spoke and then nodded. "Bear-Claw Val-ley," she spoke a bit slower. She didn't want him to feel stupid but Scarlett knew that she could talk very quick at times. She kinda liked this male for some reason. He was very polite and even greeted her in a nice way. Scarlett even felt like a higher ranked wolf. She nodded politely back.

She stood before him, not really knowing what he wanted. But since he howled she wondered if he was looking for a home. "You are looking for a home?," she asked, though it might not make sense to him, maybe he could pick out some words?

Andrei connected the word to his word.  "Da. " he agreed and  listened carefully.  He nodded. Bearclaw  Valley was where he was. He did not know that name, it didn't sound familiar and no one around him ever used it.  He frowned at the question.  He did not understand her question at all.  Only one word "home"  was vaguely familiar.  He ad seen it on billboards while going through the city to scavenge for food. He was not sure if it meant the same, or if it was the language they said was called English.  If it was, he had very limited knowledge of it. On the billboard it spoke about a home cinema, something to make sound at home , that's what a friend of his had explained.  From there on, he simply thought that she asked him about his home ?  Or was it that she was asking something else.  Andrei was unsure, he tried to make sense of her words.

Deciding to go with the question where are you from, he replied with "Brasov ...Roumania"  . He licked his lips and pointed at the ground, then at Scarlett.  " Familie avici ?" (famile here? )

Scarlett glanced at the other. She decided that 'Da' was yes for some reason. Maybe it was his nod that confirmed it more for her. The man seemed in thought for a moment and then reply where he came from. Ah, that is not what she meant. But that was her own mistake for not being clear. She had no clue where his old home was.... but it was clearly not from around here. Then he spoke about Family. It sounded like that at least. Scarlett nodded, yes her family was here. "Andrei want to be part of Scarlett's family?," she asked, making her tone go higher in the end so he knew she was asking a question.

She smiled kindly still, she had not the feeling that this male was bad or wrong. He was very polite even though he didn't speak their tongue. She hoped he would stick around though, how as she going to make that clear to him?

Andrei lifted his head when she said her name.  Okay, she wanted him to do something.  She said then her name and family, somewhat spoken differently but still he recognized that word.  He licked his snout and tilted his head adorably to the side. Was she asking if he had family, or saying that her family was there, no, she had already nodded for that.  Was she asking if he wanted to go with her ?  He blinked, his amber eyes intense in thoughts.  His purpose was to go home, not really stay in a pack, but he wanted somewhere to stay at least until he could figure out what to do with himself. He felt at ease with the female, her kindness rubbing off on him the good way. "Da?" he stated yet with a tremor of incertainty in his voice, since he was not 100% sure what she was asking.

Scarlett smiled when she heard him answer his form of saying yes. Though he didn't sound too sure. The red eyed female couldn't help but to take on another case that needed help. She turned her head to the side and then nudged it as to say follow me. The lighter female moved forward but waited after a moment to then look around and see if he was following her. She wanted him to know that he was allowed to follow her. A soft hum came of her lips. This would probably do her well after Leo left. She was basically filling in the gap with another stray that reminded her of the little pup. Oh well. No one would know.

Andrei followed the motion.  He lifted his head, ears perked forward. A rather elegant posture for curiosity.  He understood what she was telling him, her body language being clear. So he had understood what she wanted to know. He was glad.  Having shelter for the time being was something he could live with, and maybe he'd get Scarlett to tell him more about these strange lands, even if by now, it was clear, that he had been sent far far away from his home. Those damn humans, well, half damns, because they had saved his life.  He joined the female he believed to be an Alpha or Beta and trotted at her pace next to her. He knew that part of the deal, it was somehow  the same old stuff for everyone.
