Set near the borders

Growling, she picked herself up from her spot along the borders, the scent of something lurking nearby set her on edge. Only a little while ago did she deal with that trespasser, now something else had made it's way past the blood soaked territory lines. When did they ever learn? It was in her right mind to permanently camp beside the borders if this trespassing level kept rising, and it wasn't even winter yet.The colder it got, the more desperate loners became, and so did the animals apparently as the scent was not wolf. It was one she had very faintly smelt around there one day, of course the scent of blood following. But if it was what she thought it was, she would have to call in some other to help her shoo it away.

Sure enough, as she approached the scent, it's sandy coloured pelt stood out from the shadowed forest. If she was lucky, the cat wouldn't put up much of a fight as it realised this land wasn't exactly survivable to it's kind. If she didn't take care of the feline, the others would.
Carefully, she stalked out from behind the shade, making her presence well known to the animal. She wouldn't underestimate the power of the animal, for like her, they were vicious animals too.
Instead, she approached calmly, but let out a soft warning growl, not to be mistaken by a threat. In the next few seconds, she would determine the outcome of the possible situation and advance from there. She would not waste pointless energy on a fight she may not win.
