All Welcome
The young black wolf was tired, hungry, and emotionally drained from her long trek. How long had it been since FireFang's territory had been destroyed? Two months? Three? QuickPaw couldn't remember. She knew her mother was dead, along with her father and siblings, but she was following a different scent. She had detected it several days after the fire destroyed her home, and she was determined to follow it wherever it lead.It was the scent of Fire- her aunt, and her alpha.

QuickPaw came to a pack's borderline. It was obvious Fire was here, but she wasn't the alpha.QuickPaw was slightly disappointed,as Fire had been her hero when she was a regal, respected alpha.QuickPaw shook the disappointment away and stepped into the territory. She walked quickly, following Fire's scent. The realization suddenly hit her that there were quite a few wolves here, and they may not take kindly to intruders.QuickPaw put her ears and tail down and tried to look as submissive as she could. Then she saw her.Forgetting all attepts to be quite and unnoticable,QuickPaw howled loudly in joy.

Ashka placed the prey into the cache and smiled. Yet another catch for the pack to pick on. She was glad she could be of some purpose to the wolves of the maplewood. Soon she would be able to fight with the wolves too. She trotted happily through the trees, it had been a while since she had felt proud of something she had accomplished.

Her happiness was shortlived when she saw an unfamiliar pack wolf with the scent not of their own. "Intruder" her mind quickly filled with anger. This wolf, had the audacity to just stroll over their borders almost as if, they didn't exist. Ash had picked up her pace and was heading in the direction of the black female.

She stopped directly in front of the wolf not a care as to where she was heading. She was intruding. Ash let out a low growl directed at the stranger, the intruder. "Get out,"she said glaring at the wolf. At this point she didn't care who this wolf was or what she was doing. She was trespassing. That's what she was doing. "Get out, now," she said her patience thinning. Ash called for one of the alphas quickly since she knew she didn't have the authority here to deal with this wolf on her own.

Fire woke up from a dead sleep when she heard a loud howl.It was familiar, yet unfamiliar. She got up and stretched, and walked towards the howl. Then she heard Ashka growling and she broke into a brisk trot. She came up beside her and looked at the young black female.A flicker of memory flashed in her dark blue eyes."Just a minute,Ashka."Fire said quietly. She stepped forward and sniffed the fae.It smelled of her sister!Fire's mind reeled, and she got a picture if a small litter of puppies:A cream male ,a red male ,and a black Female."...QuickPaw?"Fire whispered.

When the larger female stepped in front of her,QuickPaw almost cried."Please let me past, Mam!"She yipped, sounding even younger then she was.She craned het neck to look at Fire, who seemed to be sleeping. She sighed in realife as the white mound moved.Fire would set things straight, she always did.But something wasn't right.Fire didn't immediately recodnise her."Please remember me!" She silently pleaded.Realife swept over her like a wave when Fire said her name "Yes!Yes!It's me!"she barked happily.

I posted in your MO topic about this after you made this thread, but decided this is the only realistic reaction for Saena to have as a territorial alpha female reaching maturity, and since Ashka howled it doesn't make sense for her not to show up. Since this scenario wasn't discussed with us (Ryan and I) before it was posted, I'm going to use the trespass roll here, since that's how I treat trespassing in any other scenario. Roll: 3

Saena swore audibly when Ashka's urgent howl went up over the trees. Over the last couple of days, the alpha female had begun to truly recognize the difference between an "urgent danger" howl and an "urgent non-danger" one, and Ashka's was most certainly of the former variety.

So she ran, as much as she could with her half-healed injuries and the damage she'd done to them in chasing Regipre out of the woods, directly to the source. It took a little time to get there, but when she did, Saena's blood boiled.

For the second time in a week, there was a trespasser on their lands. Not just loitering at their borders, but in their territory. Had it not been for Kiara, the alpha female might have stopped for one second and observed the younger wolf's submission, but she didn't do that. She'd had quite enough of entitled wolves prancing around in her territory. So she didn't stop her headlong charge, but instead went right for the black wolf's throat in an attempt to throttle her if she got her jaws around it, completely ignoring whatever exchange was going on in the process.

As a result of the trespass roll, QuickPaw must sustain at least one moderate injury.

Ash narrowed her eyes as the wolf asked to let her past almost crying. "Why would I do that," Ashka retorted sarcastically. "You are intruding on pack territory," Ashka stated holding her ground. Staring intently at the young wolf. "I'll.." she said before being interrupted by the presence of the white wolf. She glanced at Fire as she seemed to be investigating the young black wolf.

Ashka waited with what patience she had left. She watched as Fire seemed to be deciding whether or not she knew this wolf. It didn't make a difference in Ash's mind even if Fire knew the wolf. The stranger still crossed pack borders without permission.  She listened as the two wolves seemed to figure each other out. So this black wolf had a name Quickpaw

"Fire," she started glancing at the white wolf beside her. "You understand, even if you do know her. She just disrespected the fact there are pack boundries a few hundred metres that way," she said indicating with her nose. "Your "friend" here needs to leave," she said her hard gaze returning to the black wolf another growl threatening to escape.

Just then out of nowhere the white alphess came in charging straight for the black wolf. Ah finally. Backup. At least now Ash couldn't get in trouble for doing something wrong. She tried not to let her amusement show in her face and gave a slight sympathetic glance to Fire.
weee. Angry ashka :p

When Saena charged at QuickPaw,Fire yelped in surprise and jumped into action.Even though she knew there would be consequences, she would not let QuickPaw be hurt.Fire snarled viciously at Saena and bit at her head and throat, but not trying to do damage."Let her go!"She barked. She turned to Ashka."This is my sister's pup! She's not to be hurt! By anyone!"She said, turning back to Saena.Fire rammed into her side, trying to knock her off balance.

QuickPaw yelped in surprise and pain"Fire help me!" She whined as the white female's jaws closed on her throat. She tried to pull away from her and scratch het chest with her front paws."I'm a friend! Please don't hurt me!"She howled.QuickPaw was worried. After her long journey just to find her alpha, would Fire reject her?"I can't survive by myself!"she thought.

Saena managed to get her jaws around the young female's throat, but before she could crush her windpipe, she was assaulted with teeth on the left side of her face. Given no choice but to let go when her subordinate rammed her side, the alpha female surrendered her grip on QuickPaw's throat and whirled around to snap uninhibited at any part of Fire Wolf that was in reach. The woman's words were unheard, for all Saena could focus on was the furious sound of her own blood rushing to her head, literally and figuratively, for the woman had broken skin over her left eye. QuickPaw was all but forgotten, because for her, a pack member attacking their own alpha was an even worse crime. Ashka unfortunately went unnoticed, but Saena would later remember the subordinate's presence.

"Get the FUCK out of my pack, NOW," she roared at Fire Wolf, bristling from head to foot with rage and dominance. She didn't give anyone an opportunity to react beyond that. Her attention snapped from QuickPaw to Fire Wolf like the crack of a whip and Saena lunged, ready to kill her for her insubordination and threat if she didn't make herself scarce right now. For her belligerence and her treason, Saena had very much banished Fire Wolf from the pack for life, and made that point clear with her attack.

She could go live with her sister's pup. They could be heedless of pack law and basic hierarchy together, away from Saena, who would attack them if she ever saw their sorry hides again.

Ashka watched as rage burned in the pit of fire's stomach. She wouldn't. Would she? Before Ash even had a chance to continue that thought she watched as Fire rammed into Saena's side. Ash couldnt believe what she had just witnessed. A pack member attacked her own alpha. That was almost unheard of unless challenging the authority of cette alpha.

Ashka leaped over Fire and stood in front of the  young wolf. She was going to prevent this wolf from joining in at all costs. Despite this wolf not looking like much of a fighter. Ashka wasn't taking any chances. She growled glancing between the intruder and Fire. Seems she had made the right decision in not trusting the wolf too quickly.  Ashka couldn't think straight. Two wolves from the same pack were fighting what the heck was she supposed to do. She wouldn't dare interfere, this was the Alpha.

Ash's gaze hardened at the youth. "Get out, Scram! Don't worry you're aunt will soon be joining you," she mocked. She began to nudge the black wolf in an attempt to get her to leave. "I'm not afraid to hurt you if you don't leave now!" she said growling to further prove her point. Ash stood tall over the black female making herself as intimidating as possible.

Ash allowed for quick glances to make sure that the alpha was not sustaining significant damage. If she was Ash would be stepping in soon. From where she stood at this point in time. We have an intruder and a traitor. "Traitor!" she snarled at Fire.

"GLADLY!"Fire snarled back at Saena."But first something to remember me by!"Fire kept at her and grabbed her left ear.She yanked it,trying to rip it off, then turned to Ashka."Touch her and I'll kill you." She growled, and motioned for QuickPaw to follow her.She headed to the border, keeping an eye out for any attackers.

Late to the party as always.

A howl went up at the border, but unfortunately, Reek's mind was elsewhere. Regipre had disappeared without a trace and Reek remained hopelessly oblivious to her true fate and whereabouts. He worried, of course— but part of him felt relief. Relief that it hadn't been Sart to disappear. Reggie was a lost cause, a failed experiment. In the other coyote, there was still hope.

Despite his initial relief, he looked for the lost pup, but he dropped his task as soon as the howl fully registered. Danger. Again. It seemed the wolves of the maplewood would never catch a break.

He set off in a lope toward the struggle to find yet another trespasser. But, before he could set out to intercept the threat.  He saw one of their own turn against his wife. That bitch, he thought before circling around the back side to cut off their escape. Saena may have felt it better to let their pack mate go with banishment, but Reek felt otherwise. The only way out of the maplewood was under a thin layer of soil. Fire lunged for his mate's ear and Reek saw red. He motioned to Ashka hoping she would be able to dispatch the trespasser.

He would deal with the traitor himself. He had fought with her once before and knew her peculiar fighting style. He lunged with teeth barred hoping to take a chunk out of Fire's flank.

When the large white female released QuickPaw's throat, she jumped back to avoid any other attacks. She was horrified when the woman told Fire she had to leave "She was protecting her niece, you psycho!" She barked"Get her,Fire!" She was very pleased when Fire grabbed the female's ear as she did."You don't tell me what to do!"She barked to the other female, apparently called Ashka. She growled and snapped at her. With the signal,QuickPaw followed Fire towards the border at top speed."Fire, watch out!"she barked, seeing the big male in front of them.

Saena's gaze briefly flashed to QuickPaw when she yelled out, and the alpha's look very much said, shut your fucking mouth, but she was too preoccupied to say it. If anyone was crazy, it was them, not her. A wolf defending its land was as natural as rain and sunshine, though Saena thought it strange that so many wolves suddenly seemed devoid of that instinct. Her voice was a cacophany of snarls in her throat when Fire Wolf made an attempt to grab her ear, an attempt which was just barely successful. Fire Wolf got a mouthful of plush fur, and it smarted when it was ripped out, but her teeth missed the flesh by less than an inch. The alpha female took that opportunity to twist her head and lash out at the former Delta's tender nose in retaliation. Whether she hit or not, she didn't really notice, for she immediately began to step aggressively forward in an effort to crowd Fire Wolf and make her back up and out of the territory.

She hadn't seen Reek arrive, but when her gaze flashed over the alpha male's peppered form, relief squeezed her heart. Ashka was already doing her best to force the intruder out, but back up dealing with Fire Wolf was always appreciated, especially because the woman was all of a sudden very full of herself in Saena's opinion and seemed to have no qualms challenging an alpha's law. Saena's intent had been banishment, but with her husband here now and with Fire Wolf's audacity continuing to mount by the minute, Saena was more of a mind to try to end her life than to let her go anywhere.

Such savagery had never entered her mind before, but she didn't balk at the thought of terminating wolves who trespassed, so she certainly wouldn't back down from an unruly subordinate. She snarled and took another step forward with her hackles fully raised and her whiskers drawn back, and again she snapped in Fire Wolf's direction, more or less herding her toward Reek now.

Fire backed towards the border, keeping her eyes on Saena, but at QuickPaw's warning bark she wheeled around to see Reek."Dammit." She mumbled under her breath. She was in trouble now,and she needed to run and run fast if she wanted to survive. She motioned for QuickPaw to stay in front of her and took off at top speed through the borders.

Vega was never far from the borders, it seemed, and this was no different. The swarthy female was drawn to not only the commotion, but the unfamiliar scent that suddenly infiltrated her senses and made her lips curl back.

Loping quickly forward, the she-wolf found quite the scene before her – one of her pack mates was pushing another out, and snarling at their leader. Reek, who she had yet to formally meet, lunged, as did Saena – it would seem Fire had committed treason.

She did not hesitate to sweep forward, her lissome form stalking with a viper-like grace. She blocked the stranger (QuickPaw) from an escape as her two leaders closed in on Fire, and with a snarl, her own fangs slashed through the air, her weight pushing forward toward QuickPaw and her lunging jaws aiming to viciously grab at the female's throat and force her down in to submission -- if she didn't tear in to her vital flesh first.

QuickPaw had lost all of her smart-ass aitude as the wolves closed in on her and Fire. She had just wanted to be with her aunt, she never wanted to cause all this trouble, and she surely didn't intend on making such a long trip to find her and be killed. When The black female appered,QuickPaw almost turned and ran the other way bit changed her mind. She narrowed her eyes in determination and kept running toward the woman. When she lunged,QuickPaw jumped sideways as she had seen Fire do in battles, and then bolted through the borderline. She turned and looked back, panting terribly."come on Fire!" She barked.

It seems the odds were stacking against Fire. She was happy that QuickPaw had made it to the border, but she had other things to focus on now.Saena and Reek were closing in on her,and Ashka and Vega weren't far behind.Fire was trying to keep a brave face but she was scared as shit.As she looked at the four wolves, she realized it would take some kind of miricle for her to survive this.

Ashka seethed as the black wolf in front of her tried to defend her actions. How she only was here to visit her aunt. " You lost that privilege when you crossed the borders," Ash stated. Now nipping at the wolf to get her moving.

Ash's head snapped round as fire directed a comment towards the red wolf. Asking her once again not to lay a paw on the small wolf. "Your words no longer mean any thing to me," she snarled.

AAshka saw Reek looking at her and asking her to remove the black wolf. Yea yea I'm working on it she thought to herself. She watched as the youngster Stoddard and began to head back towards the borders. Finally

A black female, a member of the pack joined the group that was now trying to remove the threats from with in pack lands except she was helping Ash.  Ash nodded respectfully as the wolf tried to take a bite from the black wolf but the attack was evaded.  Ashka to was nipping at the heels of the pup as she bolted straight over the borders.

Since her only mission was to get the wolf out and she walked back to aid Saena and the other alpha with Fire. She trotted over to the white alphas side. Staring at Fire she lunged taking a bite at her flank. This wolf had proved where her loyalties lay and they were not with this pack.

She needed a miracle, that was sure. However, it was nothing short of miraculous that that traitor had evaded every single attack the pack had levied against her.  But, it was of no matter. Saena drove Fire in his direction; the traitor had backed herself into a figurative and literal corner.  With Reek and Saena on opposing sides of the treasonous bitch, and now Ashka closing in to hinder her escape, she would be stuck like a trapped rat.

He circled his prey and snapped his jaws menacingly. Crooked teeth gleamed as saliva dripped from his maw in a long, continuous spittle. He would rip her to shreds for her indignation. A direct challenge to his wife's authority had been a challenge to his in turn. Insubordination was not to be tolerated.

They would move in unison, he was sure. He and Saena were a well oiled pair, and with Ashka in tow, Fire would pose no threat to their onslaught. He could feel his muscles coil with tension before he sprang for Fire's throat. This time he would not fail.

With her back turned, Saena missed QuickPaw's incredible dodge, but that was probably for the best. Her disbelief at the youth's speed and impeccable prediction of others' movement would've distracted her from the task at hand, which was removing Fire Wolf, dead or alive, from their pack. The woman was more loyal to a brat who had no regard for pack boundaries than to her alphas, and so her alphas would prove the price of disloyalty.

Ashka returned from herding QuickPaw away and was quick to get in on the action with a lunge toward the woman's flank. Saena swung left and aimed for Fire Wolf's shoulder instead, with jaws that snapped quickly and with every intent to grab and rip. It was now like a hunt to her, and she behaved accordingly, with no regard for the other wolf's safety. Reek moved at the same time, going for Fire Wolf's throat. At least one of the three wolves was bound to hit their mark; Saena hoped it would be her mate, but knew that Fire Wolf was an experienced fighter who would probably sacrifice her flank and haunch to save her throat.

Still, an angry, murderous alpha female could hope.

Fire saw the three wolves lunging at her and shook her head. There wad no way she could survive this by fighting. She jumped out of Reeks way but landed perfectly in the clutches of Saena and Ashka. She yelped as they attacked her flank and haunches."Please let me go!I'll never come near your territory again!" She whined.

QuickPaw whined and paced worriedly as the wolves closed in on her aunt. She'd seen Fire fight loads of times, but she always had a pack behind her.It had never been four against one!QuickPaw shook her head and growled at the unfairness if it all."I caused all this, and if Fire doesn't survive,I'll have killed my alpha and I'll Sill have to try to survive alone!"she whined to herself. She sat down, trying not to cry.

Somehow, the ebony stranger evaded her, but if the intruder thought that would keep Vega from striking again, she was sorely mistaken. A biper in her own right, the newly acclaimed Maplewood wolf snaked forward, her ears splayed back, and her jaws gaping. QuickPaw was crying – a foolish act so close to borders, and while her other pack mates took care of the intruder, she would deal with this.

Lunging forward, Vega’s jaws clipped toward the other wolf to grasp at her neck. Her own lissome form would make to pull the stranger toward her viciously, her teeth meaning to inflict gruesome wounds as she would attempt to shred her opponent – there would be a lesson learned here.
