All Welcome
Open. For Outrider or whatever. Set in Otter Creek

She was careful not to disturb the resting place of the Queen as she journeyed to the creek just beyond. Once had she passed by the river of water on her way to Wolfskull but never had she investigated the little river that led somewhere. Her best guess was that it led to the Web, maybe past the Keep, another place she did not want to go. It reminded her that she needed to visit the medicines store, for hers was running low. She doubted with Potema being gone the store would be filled yet she was desperate. There was no healer gifted such as Meldresi had been, and there was no telling who else knew the formula to her concoction. Chamomile, juniper, poppy seeds; the rest was a blur. Some days she went without the remedy, the result stained the borders of their pack. She was unpredictable for far too long. Either she would have to ask, risking her privacy for have the mental break she was afraid of facing. Either way, she couldn't go on with certainty that everything would be okay.

Smelling the refreshing scent of rushing water and mud, she neared the river. The water was a cold bitter taste to match the aura around her. Snow had fallen on the land before yet the day was calm, almost too calm for her liking. A deep intake of breath was all she needed to follow the scents down the river. As far as she could tell she was alone. Right then, she had no patience for another yet wouldn't push away the company, reminding herself of her vow to play nice. And if she was to get what she needed, she needed their trust.

The scents of a live ecosystem flourished down the stream, truly a home to many. The place had been deeply affected by the storm, the canals branching off in all directions and the soft soil overturned. But, the seasons had changed for the better, and the ground was slowly healing. She could smell an entrance somewhere, one that held many scent's into the Web. Yet, the astrayed and new surrounding threw her off balance and sent her nostrils in every direction. Lowering herself, she tried to focus on the scent of a random wolf, one that would lead her to the fortress underground.
