For @Ayishik ! c:

Valr had not meant to venture so far from the coast, finding the always present lull and roar of the sea to be comforting in these foreign southern lands. He'd always been drawn to the sea, though he'd been born in a territory that's left border was entirely sea and this familiarity was something he came to cherish, having taken advantage of it before Vàli had chased him out and he'd taken to living a gypsy life, venturing to and fro unable to return home and unable to temper his wanderlust before it gripped him and tempted him as if it were his mistress to venturing far and wide. It was how he ended up in the Teekon Wilds, and while he was content to satisfy his desires to explore the numerous territories that the Wilds had to offer him there was a purpose to Valr's wandering today. For once in a long time it was not simply aimless.

He had heard tell from a stranger — what little the slain warrior could communicate with him at any rate — that there was a territory with an unusual arrangement of stones. This immediately captured Valr's attention and fueled his curiosity, particularly as a seiðr. It did not take him long to come across the territory (despite the rough translation of the directions given from the Cape), but Valr was intelligent despite his struggle to grasp the common tongue. He understood it ok-ish, and spoke it sort of ok-ish; alas it remained a struggle and for the most part eluded him. He knew he was in the right place when he saw the snow blanketed tops of the large boulders, sure enough in a wide circle; hard to mistake as unique as it was. Instantly, a shiver stole down the strong curvature of his spine.

He felt a thrum of energy here, a presence of one of the Gods though he could not initially tell which one. Encouraged by the enigma presented he ventured closer to them, moving between two until he came to a stand inside the circle. In the midst of the circle he felt the Æsir like the thrum of a heartbeat beneath the hard and frozen earth he stood upon. Their presence was strong here in this place of mystery and Valr could not help the excitement that gleamed in his ethereal eyes of bright silver as he glimpsed about, taking it all in.

Thanks for starting! ^__^

With a leap and a jump, Ishi set out on a day of exploring. To be honest, he was so new to Lost Creek Hollow that there was still loads to do around there, so much land to cover, streams to follow, wolves to meet and stories to hear. But Ishi had been told that he could earn some extra credit in his new pack by pursuing a chosen skill and sticking to it until it was useful to the pack. And so he decided to become a Scout — and that meant setting out for unknown lands, not lazing around at home.

He was more than happy to go out adventuring, of course. It was his way. Due to blissful naiveté, Ishi was quite fearless when it came to the wild, and there was a spring in his step as he took to it. What was more, the boy had some glorious ambitions that most definitely meant venturing beyond the borders of Lost Creek Hollow, so he had plenty of reasons to be out today.

When the strange stones ahead soared in his line of sight, Ishi did two things — first his jaw dropped in awe and interest, and then he picked up his jaw as he became very much distracted by another presence. There was someone already there. The youngster took a few more paces before instinct told him to slow down and finally halt, one white paw lingering cutely in mid-air as he regarded the stranger from the side. Lone wolves could be dangerous, you know...

No problem! <3

His observation of the stone circle, the endorphin high he'd been in at “feeling” the Æsir, a connection so close and strong it was nearly palpable for Valr, he had nearly missed the soft crunch of snow beneath paws, though it was the scent of another that tugged at Valr's senses. Male; draped heavily with the unfamiliar scent of other's upon his coat. Pack. He had been joined by another, but it took the flame a few moments to crash down and back to reality. The heartbeat of the Æsir dulled though it remained present for him he was able to tune it out in exchange of turning his attention to his unexpected companion. It was a slow, leisured, Valr's turn so that he could fix his ethereal silver gaze upon the other. If not for the shadow and silhouette, lifted paw and seemingly golden eyes of his rather fluffy companion Valr might not have initially been able to pick him out. Against the ivory backdrop of the world around them, the other male camouflaged quite well; unlike the flame who stood out like a burning inferno against the pallid landscape.

The other male was young, Valr assessed. Probably a yearling if he had to guess, though he didn't appear to be wolf; or to be fair full wolf. Hybrid, perhaps. The shaman simply returned the stare though he did not do it in such the cute manner that his companion chose to elude; determined that he would not (as was rather usual for him) be the first to break the silence.

Phew. It looked like the sinewy stranger had no intentions of attacking Ishi or even chasing him off. The boy really didn't like fleeing, but he was such a small and dainty thing that he knew full well some larger wolves would find it hard to resist. If they were looking for competition, he was hardly a blip on their radar.

Perhaps that was why the older male let him be — Ishi was no threat. And he was content with that, of course, leaving a few seconds before he continued to slink elegantly towards the great stones. Thinking about it, the stranger was so silent and still and entranced that he looked almost as if he was a part of the odd landscape. You don't... be began, his effeminate voice soft and curious, you don't live here, do you...?
