All Welcome
@Octavia, don't be intimidated if the post seems long. Make yours whatever length you want!

Depp had, once again, grown to excruciating boredom, and although every time he fell into such a pit he had the urge to call for Sen, but never did. She would usually just show up randomly when she was useful, maybe she wasn't just some wolf but a psychic? He hadn't expected with the flurry of building a pack he would find himself in such a state so often, then again, he did become bored quite easily. Him and his pack members had already walked from Broken Boulder to Firefly Ravine. Them arriving in the midst of night, witnessing what gave the ravine its name—the firefly's. It was a beautiful sight, and him taking prepossessing eye candy of large appreciation found it the perfect place for his upcoming pack. His last step was to announce this was his land, which wouldn't take much longer. He had faith this attempt of a pack wouldn't fail like his two others, but with him being so young at the time he wasn't exactly suited for the role of a pack leader. But now at the ripe age of two years, he believed he had enough experience and time to keep such a thing together. This time having an organized and steadfast wolf by his side, instead of aloof and carefree like his past co-alphas. Pacing around his soon-to-be claimed land, he considered just falling asleep, but knew that would be too hard for his strangely energized body. Fortunately, it was now spring and he could look forward to the growth of fruits and other kinds of edible plants to grow expired, creating a substance his past travels had introduced to him—alcohol. With alcohol he would longer be tortured by his unchallenged mind, and just get on with the drunken thoughts. Strangly enough though, the last time he had come across this amount of a boredom and hoped for entertainment, another scent had arised seconds later, perhaps thats all it took was the simple wish? Then again, that did lead him to discover he had to move territories or else one, or more packs would starve from the lack of prey. That could be looked at as a good thing though, him not starving and all. Besides, he loved travel anyway.

Octavia wandered the forest, searching for nothing and everything. It wasn't that she disliked adventure, she just never found the right wolves to have adventures with. All her daredevil littermates had gotten into countless situations where they needed to be rescued by mother. But not Octavia, she enjoyed thinking. She explored, but she explored alone, and she thought about everything and picked it all apart, making sure that each decision was the right one. Her littermates, however, often took actions before thought. They wouldn't think about the future consequences. They got bored with Octavia, believing she enjoyed "playing it safe" and that she was boring. This didn't trouble her though, as she knew that her actions were the right ones. So now, walking through this unknown land, as she had been doing for months, she seeks adventure, but only logical adventure. She wants to travel, to learn. Occaisonally, she'll see a firefly whizzing by, and she has the desire to follow it. To learn about the fireflies. Where to they come from? Do fireflies live in packs as well?

It seemed his wish was granted, just the same as before. He had caught the scent of another wolf nearby, and not a familiar one at that. He always found new faces more interesting than old ones, his ears perked up as he followed the invisible scent trail to the stranger, starting to consider him being quite the lucky guy, for this to happen twice in such little time. He had hoped for a distraction, and one presented itself soon after he asked for it, or maybe it wasn't luck and some higher being answered his prayers—hah, like he was worthy of help from them, if they even existed. Starting his way toward the new wolf, his pace consisted of his usual leisurely saunter, not gaining much speed, having faith this opportunity wouldn't disappear anytime soon. It wasn't much longer until he spotted another dark wolf roaming the ravine on their lonesome, just as he was doing. He stopped when seeing the girl, and looked at them momentarily, before continuing towards them.

Closing the gap between the two of them, but holding enough space in case she was an aggressive wolf. His head tilted to the side and he held an indifferent expression, though it was obvious he held some interest in her, or else he wouldn't have followed her smell. "Hello there," He greeted, his eyes narrowing and a crooked smile appeared on his maw, all topped with a gesture of the head towards her. Perhaps she was a potential pack member of Seadog, but for the time being he decided to avoid that subject, that running through his mind for the past week or so, that, and his conflicting thoughts of Sen, he needed a break and was thankful for the dark stranger to exist. For now, he would focus on other aspects, such as...the fact that this was a girl. Depp was a flirtatious wolf, and hadn't been able to delve into his enticing thoughts as often as usual. Not only was this a female, but quite the alluring one at that, his smile grew the smallest amount, finally a form a relief, a time to focus on other things. He couldn't care less if they were to flirt or not, she was here and that's all that mattered. His stance was neutral, not even thinking of showing dominance over anyone, let alone her.

Octavia quickly whipped her head towards the unknown wolf. She hadn't expected company today. Or any day. He seemed quite friendly, the crooked smirk on his face erasing any form of intimidation. She quietly studied the stranger, probably looking more rude than she meant to. She didn't feel intimidated at all by this wolf, therefore giving her no reason to be aggressive. She slowly turned to him and bowed her head in greeting. " Hello. " She figured that this was a fairly attractive wolf, which influenced her level of aggressiveness as well. She maintained eye contact, probably for too long.

"You must get in a lot of trouble staring at wolves like that," He quipped, eye contact usually being a proposal of a challenge, but he could tell she wasn't about to start a fight, even with her considerably intimidating features, but Depp wasn't watchful of too many things, with his confidence in abilities and judgment of other wolves. His grin stayed, and he closed a bit more space between the two of them, still leaving enough for him to escape anytime if needed. He was aware that most wolves would respond with her stare aggressively, maybe even snap at her a bit, but Depp wasn't the type to start a fight. He was more nonchalant, finding battles a waste of time, if he was ever going to attempt to get something from anyone he would manipulate them for it, instead of causing even more troubleHis tail swayed slightly, yet he quickly reduced it to a stop, not wanting to show any form of excitement.

Sorry for the short post!

Octavia quickly turned her gaze elsewhere. She didn't want to start a fight. She never liked fights. They never seem to solve anything. They just create more tension. "You could say that." she responded to the wolf quietly. She often stayed away from other wolves just because of that. Everywhere she went, she was being attacked. People always mistook her, even when she never meant any harm. She looked around, then also stepped forward towards the questionable wolf. "A lot of wolves tend to get the wrong idea," She started. "I'm not much of a fight picker." She sat down and pulled her ears back, but she was ready to spring away at any moment if needed.

Ah, you're fine, have you seen how short mine are? Lmao. Also, I gotta real real soon, so I apologize if I don't respond until tomorrow.

"I could tell," He responded, beginning to circle the fae, observing her features more closely. Depp held his head at a tilt, showing his curiosity in the girl. "What brings you to the ravine?" Perhaps she was just like Lyric and Rain who had sought them out instead of him asking wolves if they were interested in joining. He found it unlikely though, Sleeping Dragon had just only discovered them the other day, she could just be a traveller just as he was. Did he even know this was Firefly Ravine? It didn't matter much.

She followed his figure, still ready to run if needed, but it seemed she wouldn't need to. " Nothing at all. I tend to wander, and I ended up here,"  She looked down upon the foliage on the ground. Was it embarrassing? Not to have a pack? She never thought of it like that before, no one to depend on. She pawed at a leaf fluttering on the ground, and tore it with her nails, which where, embarrassingly long, due to the long amount of time that has passed since she last scraped them on something. She looked back up at the male, regaining her confidence, managing to keep a straight face. "What about you? What are you doing up here?

His ears cupped when hearing her response, he could tell she was a lone wolf with the lack of other wolves smells intertwining with her own. She seemed to be a traveller like he once was, not even that long ago, it was strange to think he would no longer be a nomadic wolf, and a stay put alpha. He could still always travel Teekon, but he knew he'd miss his adventurous life. Her question sparked a smile, he loved speaking of his pack idea, especially knowing it was almost complete. "I happen to be building a pack on this land," he exclaimed, obviously proud. He gestured with his head towards the ravine, as if to emphasize this would be his.

Her ears quickly perked when hearing this, and her heart jumped. A pack? Her tail started waving in excitement, but she stopped it as soon as it started. She tried to erase the hopeful look in her eyes as best she could. Why would a wolf she just met invite her to a pack anyway? Stupid idea. She forced her expression back into a unwavering mug, trying her hardest not to show any form of amusement. She kept her body stiff, tail now pointing directly downward.  "Sounds exciting."  She said confidently.

"It is indeed," he agreed, Depp had noticed her excitement, even once it deflated. He could relate, never wanting to seem too amusement in someone, unless it being some smug smile of approval. "Exciting enough for you to consider?" Although he loved manipulating people or playing games, he wanted to skip to the point when it came across to his pack. He held confidence every time he asked, and even though he was rejected more than one, he was also rewarded.

Octavia's ears perked at the wolf. "Is that an invitation I hear?" She loosened up slightly and let off a smirk, tilting her head. Was this wolf suggesting he join her pack? Had he noticed her burst of excitement? Probably. She obviously was going to agree, she had never been in a real pack before, only when she was a pup. An adventure, something new, different. Something other than wandering the forest every day for months. A pack. She was so excited, she could howl with joy. But she contained herself, limiting herself to a smirk and a tilt of the head. She gave herself credit for it, since it was the first time in a long time she'd even done that. She flicked her tail a bit, out of reflex more than excitement, really.

"Only if that means you'll join," He exclaimed, lifting a non existent eyebrow towards her, and cupping his ears, obviously intently listening to what she would have to say. The two were both hinting towards her joining the pack, yet no answers seemed very distinct, meaning Depp was enjoying the conversation very much. She didn't seem as amused as before, but her smirk suggested a bit. His tail flicked as well, only with curiosity, of course he hoped her to say yes, but was prepared for rejection, that being common in his past.

She turned her smirk into a smile, genuine, because she was happy. She wouldn't lie about that. She quickly nodded her head, almost chuckling. "Yes, I will join your pack, Mister unknown." She joked and returned to her normal gaze, feeling as if she could stare into the mysterious pack-starting wolf's soul if she tried hard enough. She could see that he was excited too, for a new addition. But she could also see the flicker in his eyes, almost expecting rejection. She decided that she would be friendly towards this new wolf. No reason not to. She was his new pack member, after all. "The name's Octavia, by the way."

"Depp," he said simply, but his smile revealed how delighted he truly was. Although he didn't need more members, it was always especially great to obtain a new one, especially one as interesting as Octavia. It wasn't strange for him to skip introductions, it was a usual thing, often forgetting to speak his name or ask for the others. She seemed generally risky, joining an unknown pack, with an unknown leader and pack members, but he was glad of it all the same. First impressions are pretty important, at least in his mind. "We'll be up and ready not too long from now," he exclaimed.

She nodded, but then looked down at the ground, embarrassed. "I do have one confession, don't laugh," She said, not maintaining eye contact anymore. "I've never been in a pack, and when I was a pup, I never understood them." She said, almost too quietly too hear. She was very embarrassed about her lack of knowledge, for every wolf knew how packs worked. Even lone wolves like her former self ; she almost smiled, knew how packs worked. Everyone knew the ranks, and the rules. But Octavia has been in the dark all her life. She looked back up at Depp, pleading mercy with her eyes. She tried to communicate to him her embarrassment, and tried to ask him not to think of her as a fool, without words. She looked back down again, rubbing her singular white paw into the dirt. Was she even fit for a pack? She was clueless about everything. And before she could think about it, she said, "I'm sorry I'm so clueless."

His shook his head in dismissal, not wanting her to be awkward not knowing that much on packs, for awhile he didn't have the most knowledge either, even though he was in a pack till his teenage years, but it was nothing of a normal one. It was small, but large at times, wolves would come and go as they pleased, and they travelled which was the strangest part—a nomadic pack. They often went on missions or adventures, overthrowing other packs, stealing their members and any important items. He obviously didn't plan that now, but it wasn't the most acquainted with pack structure, even though he created two packs in the past, yet both failed. "We won't be like other packs, more laid back, so you won't be bombarded with tons of rules." Depp assured.

Firefly's danced in-between the ferns underneath the moon's silvering light. Lyric was attempting to rest, with her little one passed out against her breast, she smiled in the moonlight at the adorable sight. Sleep wasn't easy for her, ever since she had Rain, the wolf was too anxious to rest properly, in the past, because there were no others to patrol the outside, anything could show up. She had make sure nothing came near them.

Without warning a unknown scent cross her nose, already distinguishing the other pack member's aura, she knew that it was someone she hadn't met before, Lyric tensed up protectively and slowly inched away from Rain while standing up. Gently she whispered into Rain's ear that she'd be back in a minute, with her only responding by a low moan and turning away. As the female edged out from her makeshift den ,she took a second to acknowledge it. It was a medium sized oak on which the roots had grown upwards before drooping down again, creating a den like shape. It was warm and safe so she felt fine leaving Rain there.

Lyric followed the scent until she was breeching the outskirts of firefly, she soon recognised Depp and gave a light bark in greeting.
Looking opposite against him she saw a smaller dark wolf, obviously the cause the new smell, Lyric relaxed when she realised she wasn't a large threat as she seemed friendly.
'Hello dearie, what brings you here?'
