OOC: @FitzDutiful Tagging June's dad of course!

She had finally returned. The girl looked over the fields, they were so beautiful. Oh! So were the clouds. June looked up to the sky for a moment before shaking her head, she remembered the words that the she-wolf she had met on her journey had told her to say. "The task at hand is my only thought." And so she said them, and remembered her mother and father. Daddy, I can't wait to see him! She let out a long howl, calling to her parents. She was quite excited to see them.

June had been mentored by a wolf named Nephi in her trip as a lone wolf. Nephi had taught her to calm herself and learn to focus. It was a work in progress, but June was better focused than she had ever been before. Now, the falling of leaves or snapping of twigs did not distract her when she listened to a wolf speak. She had grown.

A howl went up at the borders and FitzDutiful stopped what he was doing. He must be dreaming, for a second he thought he had heard June. No, June was safely at his father's pack with Gracious - she wouldn't be back here now. He carried on his border patrol, which so happened to be taking him towards the sound of June's call. She was stood on the borders, looking ever bit as June like as the day she had left. It hadn't been all that long since Mason had escorted her out; as he wandered towards her he counted the number of suns that had come 14 round about. Two weeks. It was possible she had never made it to his father's pack.

With a moment's concern for Gracious he sped up towards his only daughter. Currently only daughter anyway - the others were due any day now and there was potentially another girl among them. "Is everything okay?!" he exclaimed as he neared her, looking her over for any signs of fighting or danger.

For the first time ever, her words were not forced. "Hi dad!" She ran up to him and buried her muzzle in his soft white and grey fur. His scent was every relief she could've wished for, there was no way she was leaving SilverTip Mountain again. She thought of his words carefully and looked back at him, returning to her old self. "I found that my path was not winding in the direction of gracious and 'grandpa', so I decided to follow it and come back again." She spoke clearly and calmly, then embraced him again. Though it had been not to long since she had last seen him, it felt like a lifetime. She never wanted to leave him again!

I'm going on holiday for a few days, so I wanted to quickly get your acceptance in before I leave tomorrow!

June was back, but she seemed difference. With horror he realised that he hadn't really known what his little girl was like before she had left so he didn't really know if she had changed or if she had always been like this. She seemed more confident somehow, more sure of herself and he hoped she could contribute. As much as he loved her his new litter were about to become the priority and they couldn't be looking after any one else too. A lot of the pack had departed recently and now they all needed to pull their weight.

"Well, welcome home little one. Tell me about your adventures." He paused for a moment before howling for @Mason - Mason would want to know his sister was back - they had always been close - and FitzDutiful wanted to know if Mason was as concerned about her journey back as he had been.

Mason heard his dad’s call and immediately dropped what he was doing. He literally galloped towards the sound, tongue lolling, gasping for breath. He could scent his Dad now, and with it a sweet and familiar smell – his sister. He put on another burst of speed and when he spotted them his tail began to windmill. He bore down on the scene like a steam roller. He barely slowed in time to stop himself from bowling June over – instead he reared up in excitement and gave two barks of glee. Then he resumed usual posture and moved across to plaster her forehead with brotherly kisses.

Joo! You’re back! Are you okay?” He breathed between adorning her head with love. He looked at his dad and grinned. The scent of his father and sister together entwined in his heart – they smelt like home.

The girl smiled at her dad, "We-" She was cut off by the sounds of paw-steps that drew her attention. As her brother arrived she grinned and looked over him. He was so much larger now! "Brother...how nice it is to see you!" She used her sense of focus and padded up to him, touching his shoulder. His fur was so soft. It reminded her of Nephi's fur. Was Nefi's favorite color blue or- No. She had to stay focused. "I'm fine Mason." She smiled and buried her snout further into his chest, smiling with gratitude.

Didn't realise I was holding this up! Sorry, pulling Fitz out to stop the delay xD

Mason arrived and greeted his sister. His sister who had changed, maybe for the better though. Still, FitzDutiful knew his two children had always been closer to each other than to him - a symptom of the situation they had been in - and he was glad they had each other again. With a smile he looked fondly at the two of them.

"I'll let you both catch up, come see me if you need anything." With a lick to both of them, FitzDutiful sprang away to see if Zaria needed anything for the new brood that was quickly approaching.
