Currently in fluid thought - instinct thought is off

Snarl had been travelling inland for almost a quarter moon after his rejection by the Respect and the Blood, limping over terrain and carefully learning to control his instincts. He understood borders now, and why the Blood had chased him so ferociously.

Nevertheless, instinct was useful. He just had to figure out how to use it at the same time as liquid-thought like the wolves here. For the moment, he was proud - he`d been in liquid-thought now for two days. But he knew it would never really leave, the beast. Instinct would never leave.

He glanced behind, at the beautiful field. So beautiful...the not-field, he decided, just as he called the cold rocky hills the not-hills.

And beyond him, a sprawling lake. Water lapped at his paws. Was he alone? The water`s fresh scent made it impossible to know.
