All Welcome
It had been a long journey. Her life was an endless journey though, and the small amount of food that she had managed to catch before she entered the lands was wearing off. This was different though. There was the faintest scent of new growth and the grasses beneath her feet were starting to sprout again. Saria gave a small, crooked smile as she looked down at the earth, claws dragging along the dirt just to enjoy the feeling.

She licked her lips, looking overhead to see the birds starting to fly. They had come before her, and she had tracked after them - though she did not know where she was headed exactly, other than the notion that she might find her Heda after so very long. Time would tell, though, and she knew that the warrior's spirit in the dark female promised she would still be standing by the time that Saria found her.

It was just a matter of time.

Signs of green were returning, and so for the cadaverous little healer, it was a promise that he would not have to traipse as far out of the pack lands in search of herbs. Glu was aware that it would be a short while before he was truly able to scavenge for his medicinal needs – that the sea would provide more for him than the land would. He didn’t mind traversing back and forth from the edge of the ocean to the Dragon’s territory. The thought of herbs was enough, but in the back of the coywolf’s mind, he knew that the return of green would mean the return of their prey. This was a titillating notion.

Drawing himself out of his den in the Dragon’s terrain, the skeletal little creature scuttled out of the pack lands and into the open terrain. As he neared the grasslands, Gluska thought to completely ignore them. He would have, if not for the single figure that he spotted teetering along their own trail. His sharp little eyes followed the other wolf curiously for a moment before he kicked his hind legs forward and trailed after them.

He made no effort to conceal himself; the grasslands were no place for hiding. Instead, Glu would openly loom behind the strange female until otherwise mentioned.

It did not take very long for her to notice the figure the one who trailed her, her dark tipped plume twitching behind her irritably. There was a difference in just stumbling along someone, crossing paths, and another in following and to that she was curious. She advanced further before turning to face her would-be stalker, a look in her green gaze curious. She wondered what that might bring her, of course, to face such a curious little tracker head on.

It would not be the first male who looked upon her curiously. Her coat, her eyes, she was not painted conspicuously, she was a strange looking woman. She was not afraid though. She did not know what fear felt like, nor would she ever claim to understand it. She would stand just as calm as ever, she would watch as she always did. She would know.

The skeletal little coywolf was not surprised when the dark-coated woman turned to face him with a perplexed expression on her face. It was then that he noted the sharp green in her eye and thought fondly to himself how pleasant it would be to obtain eyes like that. The image curled the dark leather of his lips upwards slightly and his canary-colored gaze darted along the features of her face. She did not possess fear, but he was not surprised by this. While Glu was a precocious fighter, he did not appear frightening in his physique. He was slender, long-legged, and somewhat awkward; the length of his ears and the narrowness of his muzzle boasted proudly of his mixed heritage.

Breathing a short breath, the coywolf blinked once at the female and offered her a peculiar and pointed grin. In a manner of speaking, this emerald-eyed woman was built larger than he, and he did not doubt that she knew well how to utilize her body. Without much of a warning, Glu began to roam her figure with his gaze, noting the strongest points of muscle underneath her coat. “You have only just arrived?” he inquired with a quirked brow. It was a curious manner of wording the question. The cadaverous witch doctor had only drawn this conclusion from the shape of her body. Had she been in the Teekon Wilds for much longer, surely she would have shown some jutting bones.

A scent upon him, now that she faced him and was closer, made her green eyes narrow just a bit. There was familiarity there, and though Saria longed to press him for information she stilled herself and waited. His question brought a little curve of a smile to her lips and she gave a shrug of one shoulder. "The plague found other places." She explained. "Fortunately, it did not find me." She had fared fairly well, and that was fine by her.

"You and yours, how have you all faired? She asked, a little accent to her words - english was easy enough, sure, but it did not mean that it did not take effort for her not to slide into her preferred language. She looked over the male, taking care to note how thin he was - how angular his features. There was still a handsomeness there, a raw and natural sort of strength, but he probably had been hungry for quite some time.

There was a curve of a smile that was brought to the female’s lips, and Glu watched the lines of her mouth curl upwards with a short wag of his tail. The woman then went on to explain that the locusts and famine that had ravaged the Teekon Wilds had not found her, wherever it was that she had appeared from. This dark-coated woman seemed to hold herself with the same posture and breath as the black-furred Heda. It was intriguing for him to note this without commenting. Instead, he allowed his lengthy ears to flicker forward and capture what she offered.

A question! She asked how he and those from – at least he assumed – the Sleeping Dragon pack. The skeletal man peered at her with wide eyes and wondered if he should divulge information to this female he knew very little about. “We’re surprisingly well. A few… bumps here and there,” he chuckled a sharp little chortle and did not break contact with the female. “Why have you come here?” Glu quickly followed his response with a sharp question, wondering what could have drawn a perfectly healthy creature from their comfort and actively seek the devastated wilds.

The question he posed made a little smirk grow on her face, watching him for a moment. "I have business to attend to." She said, just a hint cryptically, sure, but she didn't need to reveal her purpose to the unknown male. He looked at her with purpose though, intentions over him to try and figure her own. She could not guess his alliance, if he was close to her Heda or not, but, she would be happy to wait it out and see just how he would behave.

Her tail flicked behind her, the woman looking at him. "Saria," She offered him finally, deciding there was enough of the dancing around one another to give her name. Still, she wanted to be certain of the scent on him, hopeful of what it might be - but she would need to be certain of where she was headed, as soon as she could.

“Vague…” he whispered in almost a sing-song voice, and Glu’s face seemed to crack into a wide grin that revealed his pointed canines from underneath his dark lips. Her response only offered him a single insight, and that was that this dark female was private in her affairs. Either this, or her work was something that was not intended to be shared with others… which would only draw his attention further. Instead, the coywolf male did not pry. It was not his place to inquire further on the matter, and he was truthfully not in the mood to play word games with a stranger. Instead, he allowed himself to focus on the formalities of their encounter.

The woman introduced herself and he dipped his head curtly, holding the wide grin on his features. Saria did not sound like a name that was familiar to him, but he didn’t anticipate that he would know many. His life had consisted primarily of his siblings and his relationships with them had been the only once of importance. Nevertheless, he fixed his sights on the green-eyed female and held her gaze for a moment. “I am Gluskap,” he then introduced with a short flap of his tail. Then, he unceremoniously returned them to their previous subject. “Your ‘business’,” he spoke softly to her with a cocked brow, “is it dangerous?”

Saria gave a little grin, something a bit vicious - and yet she was still reserved. Her emotions were her own, sparked only in intense moments. She prided herself on control. Too many lacked it in her oh so humble opinion. Gluskap - that was a name she had not heard before. She had heard plenty of strange names in her time though, and her own was going to be strange to other people. "Oh," The grin was on her face firmly, tail lashing behind her. "Definitely can be." She mused, thinking to her Heda and her strength and passion.

Saria had been a great supporter, strongly rooted in her corner. To consider that Thuringwethil had come to be chosen rightfully by the spirit and had summoned her followers along from Trigeda was only appropriate. Saria had come without hesitation. The grey wolf gave a little tilt of her head, green eyes full of a bit of mischief. "I am looking for my leader." She admitted. "And before that, information."

The slender man’s face came to life at the mention of her perilous mission and he watched her with a strange sort of intensity. Part of him wondered what it was that could have drawn her there, or what had chased her from what she had done before. There was always a reason for arriving in a new land and anticipating to settle there – though she hadn’t quite mentioned that. The idea that her purpose there was to do something considered dangerous was enough to spark the man’s interest. Though he was reserved about it, the coywolf could feel his imagination race with the prospect of her reasons.

They came to a quick halt when she explained that she was searching for her leader, and for information. His eyes widened a bit, still locked on her features, and he breathed out softly. “And?” he prodded with a curling smile. “What luck have you had?”
